ok, in my browser window, explorer, anything, whenever i move the scroll bar on the side... my harddrives make a slight "whirring" noise whenever it moves.. what the heck? why does that happen? o_O

I'm not a computer person (besides for typing), but I think u should get it checked out before something goes wrong. Wait, I'm not a computer genious. What am I saying!

I agree with frwl, it's probably just swapping. My iBook has 768MB of RAM in it, so OS X hardly needs to touch virtual memory and the hard disk is usually off. You only hear it spin up when I start running more memory-expensive applications or start up other programs (briefly before it spins down).

i have... no idea how to use it ^^;; also sound driver is weird and i dunno how to connect to the internet!

okay Linux off a cd isn't really fun... its pretty slow actually
