Can someone crop an MP3 file for me?

Postby Godly Paladin » Sun Jul 24, 2005 1:11 pm

I have an MP3 of a song I'd like to put up on my Xanga, but the initial 2:18 is pretty blah. After that it gets great, but I don't think people will listen that long. :eyeroll: Is it possible to trim an MP3 like you can a WAV on Windows Sound Recorder?

Yes. Many sound editors allow it.

Alternatively, turn it back into a .wav (or .aiff, or ...), trim it, and re-encode it as MP3. Theoretically this degrades the sound, but not noticibly if you don't do this over and over.

Got it. I think I've got the stuff for that. Thanks, Shoo.
