CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Hey guys!

So I've noticed that a lot of times, my signature doesn't show up when I make a post... And I checked to see if the "show your signature" box under "Miscellaneous Options" box was checked, and it always is.

Sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't figured out why... Any theories?

I think it shows up for the first post you make, but doesn't show up (for the sig owner, at least) for the rest of them.

Hmmm like, in each specific thread?

Hmm... It did.

there's also a button (maybe a preference as well) under the reply window that says "Show your signature", if it's not clicked you won't see it (so I'll un-check it to show you)

... click ...

so yeah, you won't see my sig now :P (Also I disabled my smiley)

Yeah - I checked that. It always has a check when I post stuff, though.

Okay, so now that I've edited, it *is* showing... Wow. XD

Huh.... not really. Now the signatures on my last two posts aren't showing for some reason... Strange. Maybe they really only do show on the first post a person makes per thread but they just disappear on all other posts after awhile?

*shrugs* Don't know. Can you see my sig on all the posts I've made on this thread? But regardless, it's not like it's something very important. I just thought it was strange, so might as well try to solve the mystery. XD

Yeah, sounds like that's possible. My signature was showing on the last post I made but now it's gone... So, I guess that's probably it.

yeah, I eventually figured out for the way I have my forum preference (newest first) that the sig only shows up on the most recent post.

Oh wow, there's a way to change it? Which area of my user control panel should I look at if I want to?

Options, Thread displaying options

choose linear (newest first)

Did you choose to switch or just see it and go back? (I find it's easier if you get it within a page of replys (I also choose to have 100 replys per page to make it easier for this way)

Oh also, in the same area, where I showed you the newest first option, the last option in that section is about signatures only once per page or not, so setting that to no will make a sig show on every post -as opposed to once per page-

Yeah, I got it. It was set to once per page, so that's why sometimes it showed and sometimes it didn't. XD Thanks everyone!
