Poem - "Immorality, Brutality"

Immorality, Brutality

How dare they tear us down
And we play the part of fool,
While donning ever-pious crown
To use attendants as their tool.

Practice what idealists preach,
The results shall surely please
When a better's knowing speech
Leaves us not on bent knees.

Fight,
Stand against immorality,
This emotional brutality.

What causes such a barrage
Toward the unwitting caretaker;
Then act like sweetest mirage
When nothing else seems faker?

The aggressor sickens one's soul
And causes them to dream,
A wish granted of reversed role
To destroy the vicious regime.

Fight,
Stand against immorality,
This emotional brutality.

The peon cannot always reform
When hoisted to new heights,
They slip, trip, and soon perform
Those forever agonized rites.

Stand up to those drunk on power,
What was done cannot be right,
Someday they will see their hour
When harsh attitudes are trite.

I was inspired to write this poem due to some complications I was having with a Manager at work. Let's just say they didn't treat me as well as they should have. I used this to get my feelings out - very useful, indeed. ;)
