My Best Poem

I wrote this poem in October of 2002. Personally, I think it's my best, but I'm open to comments, suggestions or critiquing. Also, this poem may seem sad, but it depends how you look at it.
The Crowd Shouts
A whisper passes through the crowd
Spurring hatred Onward
The deception of the Prince of Evil
Spreads like a disease
He tries to hide the light from them
With his veil of darkness
He clad his followers with evil armour
And turned their hearts to stone
They know not that he controls them
But they obey his every command
Throughout this tribulation
A beacon of hope still shines
Even the greatest angel
Cannot see what is to come
His downfall is coming quickly
His reign will soon be over
The Truth will break his veil
And smash his evil armour
The hearts of stone will soften
The deception will be crushed
The time has nearly come
The call is going out
The light will soon conquer
The darkness and the hate
He knows his time has come
The crowd tells him so
They shout with all their might
He hears their call
They proclaim to everyone
In Heaven, Earth and Hell
Emanuel, His time has come
As all the crowd yells out
"CRUCIFY HIM"
"CRUCIFY HIM"
