An Angel Died Today
by: elfinjedi

An angel died today,
I lift my hands up and I pray
that I am misunderstoof,
for he was kind and he was good.
As for me? I made him cry.
He never deserved to die.
He turned and ran away from me,
I said things I didn't mean you see.

An angel died today.
I beg him not to go away.
But he just looks at me and sighs
and on broken wings he flies
into the sky,
he falls and dies.
And if you don't believe it,
these feathers ought to prove it.

you like, ne?

oh! you're comments are moi moi appreciated! here's another one!

Shards
Broken shards of mirrored glass,
reflecting the forgotten past,
lying in a heaping mass
in the brown and dying grass.

Into the ground they slowly seep
playing the nightmares in my sleep,
leaving me alone to weep
as further in the shadows creep.

Now run away from this place
filled with dishonor and disgrace,
but keep me in your warm embrace;
these shards are cursed, that is the case.

The light that steadily comes this way,
bright as the sun of early day
casts on the shards a bloodred ray;
death or hope? I cannot say.

Cast away these shards of sorrow,
and run astray into tomorrow
where these memories cannot follow,
into the abyss where dreams are hollow.

owari!
