The Viseek Saga (part of) Part 1

It was half-past midnight on the planet Menegroth and Cathos was standing on the dimly lit street corner waiting for the messenger. Menegroth was a Jungle planet in the middle of the Orion galaxy. He was growing more and more impatient by the second. He knew the messenger was being followed by the Seroth, and the probability that they would catch him was high. Cathos was a rather strong Viseek, a race home to the planet Hedos, a large world that was located just east of the galaxy's center. The Viseek were a worrior race that looked like the humans that litter the Universe but had exceedingly great powers that other races could not compare with. The Viseek were faster, stronger, smarter, and more powerful then most races were in an all around status. Each Viseek had chosen abilities that were formed and built up through school, basic training and advanced classes. Sadly, this great race was nearly wiped out when a civil war of mass proportion brokeout that engulfed the whole planet in darkness. The race killed itself almost completely off, those few that did survive scattered and went in seperate directions of the Universe leaving small traces of a once great race.
The Seroth were also powerful a race that was constantly at war with the Viseek. This race was almost as advanced as the Viseek, but they were in constant darkness because their planet had no sun. So they battled the Viseek for one of the three suns that Hedos orbited. They are thought to be users of magic, which most believe is the reason that they are so strong. The race of Seroth had two classes the commons which in their true form ( because they can shapshift like all Seroth) looked similar to Leichens (Werewolfs) and it is believed that they are direct descendants of the Werewolfs that were on Earth for sometime. The other class of Seroth are much more fair in their true form looking human but with much paler skin much similar to the appearance of the race of Vampires (which also came to Earth about the same time as the Leichens and had a great war which lasted for close to fifteen centuries before coming to an end. No writings or documents tel which race won all that is known is that the war is over.) and are more powerful and more fierce than the commons for they are elite and rare.
1:00 am came with the results that Cathos was hoping for. The messenger arrived but so did the Seroth, there were three commons, a difficult match for a Viseek like Cathos. The messenger sped by Cathos not even glancing back to look at the startled Viseek and ran straight into the "Red Drakid" pub across the street. Cathos was not easily shaken by the Seroth and stood ready to fight. The three Seroth stopped fifteen yards in front of Cathos. Their leader grinned wickedly as he slowly started glowing and mumbling an enchantment of an age old spell. The two other Seroths lifted into the sky and sprouted green wings! Cathos knew that the leader was more than a common, he was an elite in disguise!
Cathos reached into his long black cloak and pulled out two ash fliblades, a rare find and extremely difficult to weild. The common on the right struck first, and Cathos knew that this one's folly was his eagerness to fight. He came in very sloppily and you could tell how he was going to attack before he was ten feet away! Cathos hooked the first blade to a chain and launched it towards the Seroth, who dodged it with ease. "Fool", Cathos muttered under his breath as he jerked on the back of the chain and the blade started spining wildly, turned around and sliced the common in half from behind. One down two to go. Before he could regain his defense the other common was upon him and broke through his weak defense as he was rammed and slammed up against the wall. The common stabbed him with a steel dagger straight through the left lung. Cathos kicked the common and sent into the air, and then once it had regained control of it's wings it started circling him looking for a good opening. The elite seemed to be enjoying this very much for he was just standing there with the same grin with eyes blazing like fire in the darkened street. Now Cathos was angry that a common could get in such a fatal wound with such little difficulty. "Where is that messenger?", he thought to himself "Why is he so afraid of them?". Cathos summoned up some of his mighty power and struck the common with a bolt of lightening, sending it spinning to the ground with such a scream of terror it could have woken up the whole city. Now it was just the elite and Cathos a show down between powers, a fight for the messenger.
The elite slowly walked foreward and picked up the top half common who had been cut in half. He pulled out the heart and swollowed it whole! The elite did the samething with the other one, as Cathos stood there barely able to breathe, seeing the elite blurrily through his dark green eyes. The elite let out a screech and ran at Cathos with such speed and force that when he hit, Cathos flew straight up in the air! In an instant the elite was beneath him with his eyes burning so brightly that the whole street seemd to be aflame with the elite's rage! In a swift fluid motion it had summond up a fire dragon that engulfed Cathos in a giant forty foot flame! Charred and almost dead from exhaustion Cathos rose up from the ashy ground and was barely able to unleash an onslaught of holy arrows that stapled the elite to the wall. As Cathos started to straggle away the elite said "There is no escape from the Harbinger, he will come and he will destroy", after that the elite's head slumped into it's chest and that's all that Cathos wanted to see.
As Cathos made his way towards the pub he stumbled and fell to the ground. He knew he wouldn't be able to get back up. He was exhausted and knew it would take a long time for these wounds to heal. In his slowly fading vision the lights of the pub seemed to be dancing around him. Cathos saw the messenger come out and order some townsfolk to take him in and let him rest in one of the guest rooms.
Once Cathos came to, he was lying in a bed in the middle of a great room with a roaring fire about ten feet from his bed.
Standing there facing the fire was the messenger. Cathos tried to get up but his chest hurt so much from the knife wound and his arms felt as if they were still burning from earlier, with all of this pain he could barely move. He layed back down, and asked "What do you think you were doing leaving me out there to fight them all by myself ?, I could have DIED!!!". The messenger slowly turned around, he was rather tall and extremely well built. He had a long black dragon tattooed onto his right arm from his shoulder to his wrist. His face was worn and weather beaten, and the look in his eyes was the look of pain and suffering. the room was filled with a deafening silence and then he spoke.
"When I arrived at the house of Lord Balvor to retrieve the letter and bring it to you, I sensed something was wrong, so I went inside to see if everything was ok. Inside the house there was blood all over the walls and floor and lying in the corner of the kitchen was Lord Balvor. He was dead! I knew at once that the Seroth had done this and i was too late to stop this just by a couple of minutes! As I walked around the kitchen trying to make sense of what happened, I saw something twinkle in the hand of the dead lord. I walked up to him and opened his hand to see a queer looking ring with an insignia of a circle with an X going through the middle of it. It was the symbol of the Mukath. I'm sure you know who the Mukath are, Cathos". "Yes they are an underground cult that was started by the Seroth, and is now believed to be their main religion. They believe that once every 6000 years when all of the planets in the galaxy allign their master, Racsid Corbix will come back from the dead through the portal of the Underdark and destroy everything". "Yes, that is what I thought when I first saw this ring. It also crossed my mind the thought that Belvor was a Mukath! I jumped back in startled terror of this discovery. The thought of him being in such a horrible cult was unbearable! As I checked over his body one last time to see if there was anything else I was missing I overhead a sound so wretched that I was frozen with fear. It was the Seroth they were back and my guess was it was the ring they were after, so i took it and made my self invisible as i stood in the corner to see what they would do bracing myself for a fight.
Well that's all i have! let me know what you think!
