Hi Guys,

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm trying to make a JLA/Avengers/Teen Titans/etc. kind of story, but they're christian. I have some really original characters, but I can't figure out how I can have them meet each other by either an overused (all have same enemy) or really cheesy/unrealistic (God told them to meet together) idea. If you guys could help me I'd really appreciate it. And if you would like to give me a superhero/ine (concept, of course) I would be more than happy to use it in the book, that is of course if there's not too many of a certain kind

oh and by the way, do any of you know a good phrase to use like "Titans, Go!" or "CHARGE!!!" or something like that. I was thinking on using words like these but in latin or hebrew

Wow - sounds like a cool idea, HwaRang!

Perhaps you could have one actively searching and finding the others, for some reason. Perhaps the person knows that they'll help each other and work together much better than if they are divided. Or perhaps he believes that everyone needs fellowship and support, and its lonely at the top and hard to find people who will understand that an identity must be concealed at all costs.

Or, they could have something in common - say whateer made them heroes is linked, and brings them back together. Perhaps they were all made heroes by the same action/ decision/ happening (death of somebody, wanting to make a change because of a large-scale even such as civil war.. etc.) and come back together to commemorate the event/ find more about it and meet there.

I hope that there's something there you can use. If you need any more ideas or specifics, I'm happy to give that a go, too. ^_^ . It sounds like a really cool story idea.

Crazy coincidence.. but I'm also writing a story along the same lines.. though it does go in a very different direction. Mine is more about the ordinary person in the midst of the extraordinary and the need we all have for each other.... :) .

Woot! Another person who actually writes about superheroes! \(^o^)/ It's so cool to know that there are others out there!
Hmm... perhaps one person is looking for other superheroes who he\she knows he/she can trust. This person could be the leader, and is looking for others who share the same ideals or something. *shrugs*

ok, well here is the list of some character's i've been developing and their kind of characteristics:

Summoner (All-around Good Guy)

Seth Fosters

Leader of the Advents, receives his power from the Book of Aegis (symbolizes as the Bible). He can cast elemental magic, use elemental weapons, and morph into elemental creatures. He is a very complex character, idealist and realist, but he is still well-liked among the group.

(closest portrayal: Robin from Teen Titans but looks like Neo but more punk rock)

Moonlight (Envious/dark but not gothic Girl)

Katherine Applegate

A close friend to Summoner, she is a master at the use of smaller weapons, espionage, and acrobatics. She recieved her power from a bite when she was a little girl. She is very quiet, but not shy. The only thing that she does other than fighting criminals are training and reading.

(closest portrayal: Catwoman w/- the flirting)

State (Fun Friend)

Rick Santos

He can change his body into different states, like solid, liquid, and gas. State recieved this power from walking through a dock. He can even go through walls and skin.

(Closest Portrayal: Beast Boy from Teen Titans (tv not comic))

Delta (Jock/Military)

Jean Borchardt

The oldest of the group (21) was part of the elite French Foreign Legion and worked on many missions with the CIA, KGB, Interpol, and MI-6. He, too, is very quiet, much like Moonlight, and even has an (nonsexual) unexplainable relationship with her.

(Closest Portrayal: Like batman but looks like a younger Jean Claude Van Dame from Street Fighters)

Chance (Gamer)

John McFarlan

By himself he is powerless, but with mystic dice that he carries, he receives armor, weapons, powers, talents, even vehicles from the dice. He received his power from buying the dice from a store. He really is sort of the guy in the background, does not really stand out in the crowds

(Closest Portrayal: Depends on roll, possibilities are: Master Chief, samurai, Solid Snake, Superman, LOTR elf, gun-wielding person w/ trenchcoat)

Those sound like really cool charas, Hwarang; John McFarlan and State are particularly interesting to me -and Kath. Applegate (erm, only thing is, what about the writer K. A. Applegate? It may not matter though) also intrigues me because I like the fact that she's quiet and likes to read.
