This probably goes in Goof Off, nevertheless. . .

I posted the final chapter to another one of my humor fanfics on fanfiction.net today. -^.^-
Anyway, I know this probably isn't the place for this post, so move it if necessary, I'm just very happy to finish something (although I will miss writing it, it was SO much fun to write
) and to hopefully go on to more projects in the future. -^.^-
If you want to see it, PM me and I'll give you the link.
Anyway, I'm just wanting to celebrate yet another finished work now.

Well, I've finished quite a bit, not all of it necessarily worth reading. Let's see: I have two smaller Ocarina of Time fanfics, a DBZ alternate universe that's 150K+ words (it isn't like normal DBZ, I like to think it's on a much more intelligent level), and I've also finished many other non-fanfiction works. That's about it.

I've written an original movie script for a fan film that my friends and I tried to do. However, the lack of funds (we needed at least 1k USD), lack of participation, and lack of shooting sites made the movie defuct.
Other than that I've finished one fanfic, 6 chapters, short, and to the point.

Can I write a Day in the Life of CAA fan fic? Or, maybe I could cosplay as oldphilosopher. I can grow a beard pretty quickly.

Just my word on fanfiction, and why I write it. If I play a game of my own creation, and do not follow my own rules, I have absolute power. This means that I cannot lose. In the same way, this is why I enjoy playing video games, as they have been created by someone else, and I must work by their rules and in their world. This adds an element that makes things more enjoyable.
In some ways, this applies to fanfiction as well. Writing my own material, I have full power, I can do as I see fit. At times, this gets too easy. I want to be forced to use elements created by someone else, to manipulate something else to my intentions, not just creating it. So that's why I write fanfiction. Does that make sense?

Hmm... I think it works both ways. You have more power, but in fanfiction you also have story elements to build on allready.
For me, however, because my (non-fanfic) story is allready so established in my mind, it is as if I'm writing a fanfic... Hmmm...

I haven't tried my hand at a fanfic yet. IMHO, fanfics are either extremely bad or extremely good. Since I don't think I'm talented enuf (or animesavvy 'nuf for that matter) to write a _good_ fanfic, I figure I'll just leave it alone^_^. Better that than butchering perfectly good anime.

I've never done much. I have done some short Star Wars stories. A couple of times, I gave my buddies and I Star Wars personas, and put us in with all the big characters. It was fun.

Interesting thoughts. I suppose it does work both ways, however, at that point it's all a case of personal preferance. See my former post for that. Writing original as fanfiction is a new idea to me, I might have to give it some serious thought.
Thank goodness for people like Iesu_no_Senshi. For every bit of trash, there are several good hearted people who didn't. Though I feel certain you wouldn't be that bad.

I've tried my hand at fanfic several times...mostly Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and a couple of fun flics for animated movies... I've managed to finish most of them thankfully.
I frequent fanfiction.net and it's kinda sad to see how many people never finish their writings....
