My manga project

Postby Kirika » Mon Jul 28, 2003 5:59 pm

I finally decided to post the story of my manga project and see what you guys think about it.
Not sure for the title but it's probably gonna be "With a Single Touch..." or something like that.
The Story:
In a near future, the city of *** (haven't found a name yet) is under occupation by the army (forgot to say that the story is set during a war). Most of the citizens had evacuated except for the ones in the Children's Hospital and most of those remaining people died during the ennemy's attacks, the few survivors (mostly children) are hiding in the hospital basement.
One day that William (one of those children) was out to get food, an angel falls from the sky with an ingured wing. After getting her back to the "children's hideout" and taking care of her wing, Will learns more about this messenger of God: her name is Chloe, she is actually a gardian angel who was getting on her first "job". Since it was the first time that Chloe had been on earth, she's shocked to see what humans makes of it... As she discovers the bad sides of humanity, Will tries too show her the good ones. But it turns out that William has a health problem (that's why he was at the hospital): his heart isn't fonctioning properly.
As they continue trying to hide from the army, Chloe, because of her prolonge stay on earth, becomes more and more human each day, treatening her existence as an angel and Will's sickness slowly degenerate...

Well I won't say anything more

Uhmm... that's about it, I'll try to put some pics soon, but I've made them all in my scketchbook which is too big for my scanner, I'll start drawing some on regular sheets.
Tell me what you think

That sounds cool! Looking forward to seeing some of the concept art!

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

You have the power to say anything you want, so why not say something positive?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.
