Prologue:
All was dark outside the gates of Heaven. Emptiness and silence enshrouded all, as it had for eternity... that calm was about to be shattered. The only light came from behind the closed gates to paradise. Light streamed through its cracks and fell upon and a score of figures floating outside the great door. Silhouetted against the door, shadowed by the light, was another line of floating figures.
