Promises
K.Frtiz

The snow they said, was made of love to comfort us in need. The rain they said, was made of tears to wash away our pain. The wind they said, was made of fear to cut us to the bone. The heart they said, was made of dreams never to come true.

In Winter's eyes all was fair; in Spring's a game to lose. Autumn cries in sweet surprize as Summer says I do.

They said Winter loved all, and would wipe away our tears. Yet in Spring the rain would remind us of all our childish fears. Summer yet would fill our minds to dream of what to be. Then Autumn comes and leaves fall as easy as our dreams.

In Winter's eyes all was far; in Spring's a game to lose. Autumn cries in sweet surpize as Summer says I do.

The heart they said, was made of dreams never to come true. Yet as Winter sighs and Autumn dies, my heart remains with you.

-----

Truth to tell I have no idea what this is suppose to mean. I haven't been feeling to well lately, very down because I haven't been able to talk with my best friends and both are on but not responding to me. I really need to talk to them. I only write when I'm in a "down mood" and I cannot think straight at all. I just typed this up in my LJ because I haven't posted in awhile. So as always, forgive me for all grammer and spelling and the such. I'd like to know if anyone can even begin to understand what I might of been thinking when I wrote this. I don't care to post what I write because I don't care for it but I do like to know what others think because the majority of the time I haven't a clue what I'm writing about :(
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

Very pretty poem - I do detect the melancholic undertones throughout..
And.. I'm sorry you've been feeling down lately. I feel like I'm kind of intruding by reading this, though, as I didn't really get to know you before, but I hope everything works out for you, what with leaving high school and all..
Well, take care! ^_^
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Very pretty. Nice poetic language.

Blueraven, I honestly felt your heart when I read this. It's beautiful and calm and deep. I know sometimes when my friends, or husband, is out of town, or busy I feel so lonely. It's funny how our friends feed our soul. Thanks for sharing this poem. I'd love to ask for you to write more; but, I'm afraid that would mean you'd be suffering with loss again if you only write when you're down. If you want to ever shoot the breeze and talk, pm me. ^_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

As usual I really don't know what to say. Thank you for the nice compliments ^^; very encouraging. When I say I only write when I'm in a mood that wasn't exactly true, I try to write when I want to but I have a problem with wanting things to fit together perfectly...not good. But thank you all again ^^ Very encouraging but lets just hope I don't let this go to my head like other times
