CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I have a book that I'm writing, and I would like it to be illustrated in the anime style, but my talents are lacking in that area, to say the least.

The book follows a boy named Ezekiel from eleven years old, in 1011 AD, to the Great Return of Christ.

Ezekiel is a very special person, as he is in command of eleven angelic beings called "Spirits."
These Spirits each control either a force or an element of nature; for example, Yukhäm is the Spirit of Strength, a force of nature. Nyro is the Spirit of Electricity, an element of nature. The final Spirit, however, is named Unīv, and is virtually omnipotent, so he doesn't fit into either category.

In return for Ezekiel's authority over these beings, he is sent on assignments by God, with two stipulations:
1.) He must accomplish the assignment.
2.) He must not sin during the assignment.
If he fails in either of these, his command over the Spirits will be immediately and permanently revoked.

Oh, one other little tidbit; one of the Spirits, named Freeze, was best friends with Lucifer, before Lucifer rebelled. Now, he would like nothing more than to send him to hell.

The idea certainly is interesting. Take it from me, don't focus on it becoming a manga or anime. It restricts you, just let yourself write. Good luck

Yeah, it's gonna be a novel, but every few pages, I want it to have an illustration, to make it more concrete than if it was just the narrative.

Since this is taking place in 1011 AD will there be a lot of people casually beating their wives, children, and slaves? Nobody blinked an eye about it back then and this is going to be historically accurate, right?

EDIT: Additionally, there was lots of rape that nobody cared about.

There will be some, occasionally, but it will be looked down upon by the main characters and will never be displayed by Ezekiel.

Question: Is there a reason this takes place in 1011 AD?

Uhhhh… Never really thought about it.
I guess because that's the first era I thought of when determining the setting.

Might want to start doing research on that time period if that's where you're determining to start your story. It wouldn't help to say the year is 1215 (for example) and you have characters that dress, behave, and otherwise interact with each other in ways that are contrary to that era.
