Wow! First off I am beyond shocked that a professional Japanese manga company would try to produce a series about Jesus Christ.
Okay, as to your question, obviously I have no knowledge from the series itself (beacuse I haven't bought it). But it appears to be mostly accurate so far (as in the previews and the animations, etc.) I noticed they did add names to the followers of Jesus, (i.e. Jacob, Joshua), which tells me this story will take place through their eyes, sort of like Nichole Nordeman's song "Why?". But this is not inaccurate because there were thousands of people who followed him.
I did notice two things off. In the preview for volume two, it sounded as though Judas Iscariot had lead Jesus to the temple to overthrow the moneychangers in an attempt to incite Rome to in turn, overthrow Jesus. (Basically, insinuating Judas set up the whole thing as a failed ambush) Mark's account in mark 11: 12 has no mention of this.
"On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling money there."

The other thing was, in that same volume, it said that the followers of Jesus (I think) were fighting in the temple, shouting for Jesus to be crowned High Priest. When this failed, they retreated to Bethany, and "that very night"... it ended with a scene of Judas leading a band up some steps. Jesus did spend the passover week in Bethany (fairly sure) but the night of the Passover itself, according to what I interpret Matthew to be saying,
"Go into the city to a certain man and tell him,'The Teacher says, I am going to celebrate passover with my disciples at your house."

I don't recall any accounts of the disciples having a riot in the temple for Jesus to be named High Priest either.
If this is any indication, it looks like the acconts may be fairly accurate, but like with the Joseph and Moses movies released recently, it may contain several inaccuracies. On another note though, it did mention Herod's tower of Antonia; which really did exist, so that tells me these guys know their stuff. Or at least they looked it up.
Anyway, I hope this helped and I'll be keeping my eyes out for it...we will definately review this.

Unfortunatly, your kind of pun is exactly the reason I eventually left. This forum seems to be a candy coated version of every other anime/manga forum and I didn't like the way it was going. It would have been nice to have a Christian ministry involved with Japan and Japanese influences on America, but I think this group missed the mark. I hope that as you grow, you fine tune this to be the awesome ministry tool it can be.

God bless.

Welcome, WhiteÃ…ngel..
