Would you consider this nerdy and a waste of time?

Okay, so I`ve read into Trigun. Checked Volumes 1 and 2 out of the library.
They were good reads, but I couldn`t find Maximum in library ANYWHERE or any manga scans on the internet.

So I walk into Borders to pick up Maximum Vol.1. Got it out of the shelf and started reading.

Finshed.

Max Vol. 2

Finished.

Max Vol.3

Finished.

Volume 8. Finished.

I sat there for almost two hours doing nothing but reading manga. Talk about addicting! I read all 8 volumes.

Here`s a question:

In Japan, how man volumes are there of Max and when is Volume 9 coming out?

And I have another question:
In the ending of normal Trigun Vol.2, Vash is obviously reduced to nothing or this that just his metal parts? He just jumps right back in like he was never destroyed.
BTW, it took me 20 minutes to read each volume. It took me 10 minutes to read Volume 6.

Keep in mind, I read Max 1-8 in one sitting. I already read the two normal ones prior.

lol. well im not a good judge of nerdyness, being a geek/nerd myself. but as for a waste of time, it depends, do you honestly have anything better to do? lol, it's nice to relax and do something for yourself sometimes... sometimes i take a night to myself and read a manga and watch xfiles or something

Not if Trigun has any literary value (and I can't judge the manga, having not read it). It would be easy for someone to spend an equivalent amount of time reading a book, attending a sporting event, or sitting in traffic. If it is moderately enjoyable and involves your mind on at least some level, it isn't a waste of your time.

The fact that you could finish a graphic novel that fast pretty much makes Trigun Maximum a waste of time in the first place.

If you find it enjoyable, then no, I don't think it's a waste of time.

According to AoD's charts, Volume 9 comes out May 3rd.
As far as how many volumes there are, It appears that there are 14 volumes so far.

Your library has manga? Thats awesome. Mine sucks cause Ive looked everywhere and all they have is a book on how to draw Manga. That would be good if I could anything better than stick figures.
Come see me on Myspace if you want to and if you want to add me to your buddy list send me a note saying your from CAA otherwise Ill probably just end up ignoring you.
