your favorite work by CLAMP!

Why not have a fun little poll? Alright, what's your favorite and why? I'm just putting down the most popular series for poll options and all the more minor series is under "other" (where you must specify which one it is). Alright, start!

I myself would vote, but I don't have a favorite that stands out from the others :/ The stuff I've read is just so good!

^_^; I know it's not their most popular series, but I thoroughly enjoyed X/1999 and Tokyo Babylon. *cuddles her Tokyo Babylon tapes* I think they're both much more "mature" anime in the way of depth and storyline, and I love all the X characters. (Kanoe excluded. >>; I do have a very soft spot for Kakyou and Nataku, though)

What exactly is Tokyo Babylon about? All I know is that it's the prequel to X, and it involves what I think is a shounen-ai couple where I used to think one was a girl, and the other has one eye... *shrugs* Isn't it the prophecy that leads up to X?

o_o]I think the series culminates with the Seishiro murdering Subaru's sister, but I haven't seen it all yet, so I'm not entirely sure.[/spoiler] It was actually heartbreaking for me to watch Tokyo Babylon after X/1999 - the Sumeragis and Seishiro were so close, and I feel so bad for poor subaru, knowing what happens later.

*shrugs* That was just my assumption since I always see pics with their arms draped over each other and well, you know CLAMP sometimes...

This is difficult. I'm not really a fan of CLAMP. I would have liked X/1999 if it weren't for the occultic themes, hints of shonen-ai, and all the angst. I like the art though.

I believe Tokyo Babylon and X have some hints of shonen-ai but they're not official (from what I understand).

I can't stand Chobits for some reason and the other titles are...just not really my taste. So Tsubasa wins the vote, especially since there's a happier ending for my fav. couple, Sorashi in that alternate universe. ^__^

Ooooh! Tough decision. All of the above?

Nah, my three favorites are CCS, MKR, and Tsubasa. But I have to go with CCS. It's just so cute! and uplifting, the artwork is their best in my opinion (because I like that "cute" style, and it is so cleanly drawn), and the storyline is good too. It's one of the first manga I bought as well and really what got me hooked on their works (though MKR played a part too!). Plus, Sakura is my favorite CLAMP character. So there you have it--Cardcaptor Sakura! ^_^

I love CCS! Second would have to be Tsubasa, then Suki, which is not on the list, except for the other category. ^_^

CCS is my obvious choice...I don't really like dark series that much, and since CCS is rarely dark, I'm attracted to it. That and its so cute. (Why don't we have a chibi smiley?)

I like Tsubasa because you know the main characters, Sakura and Syaoran are older, and I kinda like the idea how chara from thier other series makes cameo's. It's a interesting premise. Oh. and I think Fai is sooooooooo cute, lol. After that, I like Chobits...sorta...lol. I like Angelic Layer too, it's cute, lol.

I voted for X. It has the best artwork of any manga series, EVER! and I like the dark mature story and all the characters. I'm also a big fan of Yuziriha/Kusanagi shipping. I can't wait to see how their relatioship ends up later on (if CLAMP ever did/does write anything more about them ^^), especially after she finds out he's a Dragon of Earth. I wish they would hurry up and finish it though. Last I heard they were getting into the final battle between Kamui and Fuma and then they just decided to take a long break. The last issue was in the May or June issue of Asuka in 2003 :(. I heard rumors that they might be planning some Tsubasa crossover and that's why they've put X on hold.

Tsubasa, hands down. I love how cleverly CLAMP reuses the characters, drops in the most unexpected cameos, develops completely new characters, and crosses over with xXxholic all at the same time. And if that's not enough, the art is utterly fabulous! :3
