I am quite looking forward to this. When I am God was pretty good. Their chaotic nu-metal style is quite nice; it reminds me of recent Underoath albums. What sold me on this album, though, is "Son of the Morning", which came on the free-to-download fuel sampler from T&N. The music is good but the lyrics are great.

Yeah, I got that song and I really like the sound of it. I can't wait for the new cd even more. ^_^

I'm stoked for this album. I got addicted to this band after I saw them on the Stronger Than Hell tour and can't wait to get this album now. I've heard a few of the songs live (couldn't tell you which ones though, was a bit hard to understand the titles at the concert half the time) and they sounded pretty awesome.

This does look like it could be quite good.

World Without a Sun and Reveries of Flight are up now.
The first is an all out hardcore song and the second goes about half the song softly and then bursts forth with energy.
I really like them both but each only clocks in at about two and a half minutes which is short for them.

Agreed. All three songs released so far have been superb but the latest two feel much too short. With only ten tracks in the album I would have expected those songs to be longer.

Most good heavy records are short. Converge, The Chariot, The Blood Brothers' old stuff...most of those never top out more than 30 minutes, so if a heavy band whose genre has "core" in the name makes songs that are longer, I consider it a miracle.
In other news, OH SLEEPER IS GOING ON TOUR WITH MY BELOVED EVERY TIME I DIE. THIS WILL BE THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!*
*in September.
EDIT: HOLY WORDS I CAN'T SAY ON HERE. Reveries of Flight and World Without a Sun are tasty. Reveries burns slow, but then it explodes. I hadn't heard any of their new stuff, but I think this album has potential.

Indeed, it sounds excellent; it is like a cross between Underoath and Norma Jean. Also, is it just me or does the beginning of "In All Honesty" sound like it came off from As Cities Burn's new album?

Which wouldn't be much of a unique mix whatsoever.
Oh Sleeper sound nothing like either really.
Underoath has more of an ambient, atmospheric sound and Norma Jean was a Botch rip-off mathcore band but now attempts to play somewhat radiofriendly rock with random noise effects in the background.
Oh Sleeper is a much more technical band than the two mentioned.
I would have to say Oh Sleeper's guitarwork is far more skilled than Underoath or Norma Jean and the vocals are very complicated as well.

It's a decent album...but if it's one of your favorite albums ever....you must be introduced to more music. o.o

I want to check this out. I probably won't get it for a while, but from the little I've heard I really like it.

Uniqueness can go a long way but it isn't everything.

True, but they sound like a mix of the two.

Exactly.

Yeah. I listened to it.
It has nothing on "When I Am God", but overall it's a decent record.

I like it a lot. Also, why would you listen to a Sputnik review? Those are so subjective...perhaps even more so than a lot of the professional reviews. It's just so random kid saying "I like this album" or "I hate this album."
I don't know that I enjoy the push toward the more metal elements (all the guitar solos start to feel cheesy after a while), but it's entertaining overall.. the CD cover is kinda lame. I like it, though. I've been listening to it since I picked it up last week.

I finally listened to it.
It has some overall cool songs but I feel as if compared to When I Am God , this is just a fail.
