CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I've come to provide to all of you proof that Andrew W.K. might be the greatest rock n' roll musician of the last 20 years. He hasn't done that much since releasing his masterpiece, I Get Wet and its follow-up The Wolf in 2002 and 2003 respectively, but there are rumors of a new album coming out this year. Some of you might know him from his role in Aqua Teen Hunger Force.



His music is what you could effectively call "party music," as much of his message revolves around love, partying, and having fun. It usually involves heavy use of drums, synthesizer, and 80s-styled rock guitars playing formulaic rock music made for the sole purpose of headbanging. Yes, dear friends, Andrew W.K. might be the man who will save music.

Let me let you into his world. He shoots without a gun. He'll take on anyone. Get ready to die.

Party Hard

If that video, with all of its headbanging and partying, isn't enough to convince you, then I am now forced to bring out the big guns.

At the Spike Video Game Awards in '03, Andrew W.K. was asked to spread his message of love and partying to the world. He had broken his foot while on tour promoting his 2003 album The Wolf but was that enough to stop this magnanimous human being? No. No, it wasn't.

He partied hard, you guys.

He partied hard in a wheelchair.

A WHEELCHAIR.

I . . . I actually like this song. They seem to pretty much be honestly in it for the LAWLS, because there's no way to take them seriously. I can appreciate that, though. I can also respect going onstage with a broken foot.
