The Almost's Amazing because it is, is pretty powerfully done as well as the bridge in Life in Your ways Salty grave. Hardcore song that goes from a heavy breakdown to It is well with my soul. also Autumns Monologue by From Autumn to ashes is powerful to me because of the girls voice not lyrics.
EDIT: and unfortunatly i can't find clips of them i'll post lyrics later

His Eye Is on the Sparrow
Since this an old gospel tune, and it's over a hundred years old, I assume you folks have heard it. My favorite rendition, unfortunately, isn't a recording. My sister and her husband are part of their congregation's gospel and rock performance group for contemparary worship. (She's the lead female vocal) I dearly wish she would record this and put it up on Garageband.com or something, because it is absolutely beautiful the way she sings it.

Note for note, amidst my vast arsenal of powerful music, I would have to go with the Gothic Rock spiritual Martyr by The Awakening, which can be heard at

A personal favorite of mine would be Five Iron Frenzy's
Every New Day. This is the live version, so I'm not a huge fan of the way it sounds in comparison to the cleaner studio version, but the lyrics are incredible.

Its interesting you should mention it, a lot of the members of Five Iron Frenzy are pretty influential at my church here in Denver, the Scum of the Earth. As a matter of fact, I've been friends with Leanor Ortega, their saxaphonist, for quite some time.
