Songs about nerds are fun. Post the lyrics to your favorite song about being a nerd.

Song: You Can't Handle This
Artist: Five Iron Frenzy
Album: Electric Boogaloo

Making young girls pine
I don't have the time
Babies get in line,
I've got a protractor
Got a stapler now
It goes "ka-ching"
Gotta have the math club crown me king
Gotta rock the screen with cosine graphing on my calculator
If you're up
And if you want
A piece of me
Wave goodbye, and blow a kiss
'Cause you can't handle this!

No, no, no, you can't handle this.

Through my glasses glare
You'll see savoir faire
Beneath my icy stare,
I've got a retainer.
Maybe I'm the Physics main event
Maybe I'm the chem club president
Maybe even Texas Instruments thinks that I'm co-planar
If you're up
And if you want
A piece of me
Wave goodbye, and blow a kiss
'Cause you can't handle this!

No, no, no, you can't handle this.

Leonard Nimoy can't stand up to this
And Captain James T. Kirk bows beneath my fist
'Cause I am awesome...
Awesome...
I am the awesomest!

No, no, no, you can't handle this.
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.

Most definitely "Riot Nrrrd" by 2 Skinnee J's (Note: This group does have some objectionable content in their songs and even more in their concerts, though I think they have broken up.)

This song goes out to those with coke bottle glasses
To all you lonely kids who were the last picked in gym classes
We got your back - destracted malofactors
Are you up with the fact, unite like Thundercats

Get up get up, cause we're fed up fed up
Try to rise and keep our head up head up
Leave the kinging to Kong, we'll be singing our song
Bring it on, bring it on bring it on

It's a sentimental journey,
presenting sentiments of resentments that'll burn me
Unearthing our sharp knives slowly turing blunt
My road is to unfold so I gotta face the front
I used to spend my days, dazed and confused,
Sixteen year underdog still donning underoos
Sorry Busta, I know my flow sounds used
Scripted and directed by the likes of John Hughes
Recycled recitals of enemies and idols
All scrawled in the hall, like Anthony Michael
I lack land and title just one of the boys
On islands and islands of Misfit Toys

Get up get up, cause we're fed up fed up
Try to rise and keep our head up head up
Leave the kinging to Kong, we'll be singing our song
Bring it on bring it on bring it on
Come on, get up get up cause we're fed up fed up
Try to rise and keep our head up head up
Leave the kinging to Kong, we'll be singing our song
Bring it on bring it on bring it on

My field of dreams was a parking lot
With hot shots doing donuts
pissing off the grownups
Me on the side writting unrequited love letters
That I would send to my imaginary girl friend
I had to pretend cause I never played football
The kid drafted last pick at the roll call
To ease the monotomy of everybody mocking me
Spare time to tend rhymes like botany
Now what I want to be?
What you wanna be?
Maybe famous
I claim this
Try to gain this
But sometimes it heinous the way the shameless
surround me like a tide they'll drown me
I'm looking for intelligent life forms
I'm looking for a club off the street
So I can reach out and touch somebody
anybody, everybody

This song goes out to those with coke bottle glasses
To all you lonely kids who were the last picked in gym classes
We got your back distracted malofactors
Are you up with the fact, unite like Thundercats

Get up get up, cause we're fed up fed up
Try to rise and keep our head up head up
Leave the kinging to Kong we'll be singing our song
Bring it on bring it on bring it on

Haha, that one was great, Steeltemplardude.

I like this one. "In the Garage" by Weezer.

I've got a Dungeon Master's guide
I've got a 12-sided die
I've got Kitty Pride
and Nightcrawler, too
Waiting there for me, yes, I do
I do

I've got posters on the wall
My favorite rock group Kiss
I've got Ace Frehley, I've got Peter Kriss
Waiting there for me, yes, I do
I do

In the garage
I feel safe
No one cares about my ways
In the garage
Where I belong
No one hears me sing this song
In the garage

I got an electric guitar
I play my stupid songs
I write these stupid words
And I love every one
Waiting there for me, yes, I do
I do

In the garage
I feel safe
No one cares about my ways
In the garage
Where I belong
No one hears me sing this song.
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.

Weird Al's "It's All About the Pentiums." It isn't profound or anything, just fairly amusing. Also, it is one of the few songs I know that fits these critera. I can't say that I spend much time listening to songs about nerdiness.

"It's all About the Pentiums" is definitely one of the best songs about nerds. It's sadly telling that a friend and I randomly started singing this in high-school, and between the two of us we got all of the lyrics right without having tried to memorize the song.

I know what you mean. For some reason I have the first verse almost entirely memorized, and I've only listened to the song five or so times. Just as oddly, I remember almost nothing from the second verse.

Hm, I haven't heard of that song before. Aside, is Sadie Hawkins dance really a nerd song? Of course, I will admit up front that I am incredibly biased against this song.

Angry Nerd Rock by The Ataris is pretty cool, though they cuss on it.
