For myself:

Loreena McKennit- The Book of Secrets
Various (Naxos)- An Introduction to Early Music (The version of O Viridissima Virga alone is worth buying the CD)
Hedningarna- Karelia Visa
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Neil Postman
(The End of Education)

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

Personally, I don't agree with the president either and I'm ashamed to live in the state of Texas where he's from.Yes, he may be the commander-in-cheif, and my husband's boss. But that doesn't mean that we have to agreee with him on everything. Everyone has different opinions and we should all learn to respect those opinions. Even if they're different than ours.
Maybe you should listen to a few of their songs tho. I recomend:
Traveling Soldier, God speed/ Sweet Dreams, and Wide Open Spaces.
And BTW, I LOVE Mummer's Dance by Loreena McKinnet.

IF we open our minds, we open our hearts. And those with open hearts show true CHristian love- My grandma Donnelly

I don't think it's possible to pick out a top three from all the awesome cd's in the world, maybe a top three for the day.... but what about a cd that was your favorite for like three years, but never gets listened to anymore? Arrrgh!!! Never mind I'll just throw out three that are my current faves.
