My made up band for my digital graphics CD project was the "Fearless Few" and their cd title was "A Thousand Words." Came out pretty well, if I do say so myself.
Hmm, other made up names:
- Effervescence (spoof off Evanescence I made up in Chemistry last year)
- Small Town Heroes
Interestingly, one of my favorite band names has to be Glassbyrd, made from Christina Glass and Mark Byrd when they started their own band.

My made up band for The Traveller's Guide:

Cheap Sheep Cheese

(I got the idea from my uncle when he and my dad were discussing farming once; try saying it three times fast. ^_~ )

Yea any mexican food would work! One of my friends wanted to name his band Tapatio after the hot sauce Tapatio. Anyway I could go on make up band names for like forever. Well I've been trying to start a band for the longest time. But The closest I got was playing at a fair my church had but The guy that was helping on guitar only did the songs he wrote and my drummer didn't even play some other guy did. I was on bass. So Hopefully my band will make a comeback. Even if it's just me! But I've made up so many names it's like funny! Anyway I think there are so many names of anime series and things in the series that would make cool band names.

E.T.A. (What my band was called)

Inokashira Park (What I want to call my new band)

Bought By Blood (Actually the name Of a Manga and Anime I want to do but It sounds like a cool band name)

Embracing Sopiha (Man I love this name, But it really means Embracing Wisdom)

Denwa (One of the stupiest names I've ever made Up. It means telephone In Japanese)

Christian L33T (Ummm....Nuff said and I don't think Holy L33T would sound Right)

PH34R GOD (Sounds Cool)

That's All I can remeber or have thought up right now. But Mabye my band will come back with one of these names. Then we can play Christian Punk And a bunch of other styles in Japanese without everything getting messed up!

I like
"Occupied"
"Dreaming of Reality"
"Red Elephant"

My friend came up with the last one, but I figured the first two out. I like Occupied, just cause it reminds me of Default, who are awesome.

Whoa, deja vu....

A friend of mine once came up with Presweetened Earwax.

My mom thinks Space Available would be a good one.

My brother-in-law, while playing a Sims game, came up with a Christian metal band called The Nocturnal Emissionaries.

Personally, I'd like to see Mortimer Dipthong, Wilson Jackson Johnson Jefferson Jones (named after a guy at work named Wilson Jackson), or anything with the word "cheese" in the name.

As for real bands, I once went to a local punk rock show and there was for some reason a death metal band called Satan's Anus. They were as awful as their name.
And there's a local jam band who are actually quite good, called FDR and the New Deal.

First band name that came to mind when i saw the title of this thread... "She Likes Cloth"

In all seriousness though, what kind of band do you have? The best band names, (I think at least,) are the ones that go with the style of music that the band plays.

This is probably the best name suggested in this whole, zombified thread.

If I were to have a band it would be either these 3 genres. And the names associated with them.

Rock n' Roll:
Sister Mary
The Mainstreams

Hard Rock/Metal:

Grunge:
