Eating Blood?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up on here or not (couldn't find anything in search at least) but I was just thinking recently about how the Bible instructs us not to eat blood (Leviticus 17:14 was one reference), and although I'm aware it probably applies to how we are forbidden to do that sort of thing as applying to not-so-good rituals and etc, I was wondering what my fellow CAA peeps have to say on the subject?
