Anybody for Cheerwine flavored doughnuts?

Postby ADXC » Fri Jul 16, 2010 3:59 pm

Ok, so yesterday, I ate one of the best doughnuts I've had from Krispy Kreme. They were Cheerwine creme-filled doughnuts with chocolate and sprinkles on top.

You may think Cheerwine flavored creme would be weird, but on the other hand after tasting them, I thought that they just tasted wonderful.

They were a little rich, but still worth it.

If anyone of you like Cheerwine, try the doughnuts, I think you'll like them.

Ok so I noticed I kinda sound like I'm advertising them. XD But that's how good they were!

BTW, for people who do not know what Cheerwine is, it's not wine of any kind. It's just a cherry soda.

Also, another purpose of this thread could be to see what everyone would like to see flavored after what they like. It could be doughnuts, ice cream or whatever you like.

EDIT: Ok, so I just figured out that Cheerwine is mainly found in places like my state and other southern states. Eh sorry!

I love Cheerwine to death, especially the sherbert.

I didn't know they had Cheerwine filed donuts though. That sounds pretty dang awesome. Too bad we don't have a Krispy Kreme anywhere near by.. Baaaaw.

Don't feel bad. Even if you had a Krispy Kreme, you wouldn't be able to get one anyway. They are only available at up to 1,000 grocery stores or Krispy Kreme in North and South Carolina and it's a limited run to the end of July, which the run started on Thursday.

I've never heard of Cheerwine, but I'd like a root beer doughnut.

Yeah, that's the bad thing. I didn't know that they were only available in these two states.

So sorry guys.

But anyway, the other purpose of this thread doesn't have to die.

@ Crimson- Just go to a Food Lion or something and grab a box while you have the chance.

Also Crimson, it's not just filled with Cheerwine, it's filled with creme that is has the flavor of Cheerwine. So they didn't just inject the doughnuts with the stuff. XD

So it is a fact that they are only available at up to 1,000 grocery stores in NC and SC, right?

No! I'm just one state below you but I can't have 'em! Next time I go to NC... that's on the list. Sounds... so... good.

Er, if you live in Georgia/Florida, why not just go to SC? It's one state closer... o.O

If nothing else, this thread has taught me that I need to try Cheerwine. I always thought it was some sort of root beer or ginger ale (both of which I hate) so I never bothered. But now that I know it's cherry? Oh man I need some.

...and of course, despite the fact that I'm like 99% sure that I see this stuff at the grocery stores near me, now that I've decided I need to try it, it'll probably be all mysteriously gone. :l

Just make it an airport tradition to bring several boxes over like just about every person in my state does...

Wine-flavoured doughnuts sounded interesting... but cherry soda sounds hard to imagine.

@ Roy- I suppose it's just 1000 grocery stores. But that's a plenty for NC and SC.

@ Ayra-Aw, well maybe if you travel south sometime in the next week or two you could get a box. I'm sorry.

@ Nate-Yeah, Cheerwine is very good, but I don't get to drink it often though. You sometimes have to search around for the stuff.

@ Tsuki-Yeah I really wish I could! But unfortunately, I don't think they would last that long. :(

@ Warrior-Maybe you could make some wine doughnuts yourself, you could probably make a good bit of money off of it.

But don't worry about the soda part, it's flavored after Cheerwine, but it isn't fizzy.

You do. Just make sure it is REALLY cold before you drink it, it's pretty dang good. Oh, and pick up some Cheerwine sherbert too that stuff is the best.

As a considerable fan of Cheerwine, I was very excited to hear about this. When I finally tried one, it was... okay. I actually really like the Cheerwine filling just fine, but the one I tried had chocolate frosting on the outside, an the flavors didn't really mix well. I need to try a plain one, obviously. TO THE FOOD LION!!!
