CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

So yeah. This year, in about two months from now, there's another Otakon going on. I've decided to go cause... well... I like you all. =)

That and I can justifiably be nerdy.

So it's in Baltimore, Maryland, as usual, for all those fine individuals that will inevitably ask: "Where is it again?" XD

So who is showing up? I believe Nate, Peanut, Rushi-rwar, and the ever-so-absent Meboeck will be there. We're also trying to get Corrie to show up. So everyone tell her or to show. Threaten to steal her vinyl collection if she doesn't come to Otakon or something.

Any other lovely CAA people planning to show? And btw preregister if you haven't, I guess. XD

I will be there, very likely with my wife. Unlike last year, we won't be massively jet lagged (from the Japan trip), so we are looking forward to having dinner one evening, if that can be arranged.

I will be there on Friday and Saturday but not Sunday because Church>Otakon...especially when you're interning...

I'm 70% sure I'm going, along with my sister. The 30% that is excluded is because my mom's unsure whether to let a (happily) delirious 17 year old and adorable 12 year old loose in Otakon. So yeah. here's to hoping.

I will be there do my regular checking out the things I want to see and do.
Two back to back weekends for Baltimore for me because of Otakon and Firehouse Expo.

I've gone for the last few years, and I hope to go again this year. I can't say I'll be there for sure though until we finalize things.

I'm not sure what's going on with housing on my end. We're moving at some point during the summer. Not too far. Not sure when, though.

I had been planning on attending Otakon near the beginning of 2010, but current circumstances I'm afraid are forcing me to fold. Even minimizing the cost of con and plane tickets, I'd need to do something about housing, and I have no means of personal transportation on the East Coast.

Also, should any of my job lines get a bite, the majority of them would require me here, not taking a vacation on the other side of the country.

Well I'll use THIS thread instead of the general convention thread to note that I have just now registered for Otakon, so my going is official. You may all stop celebrating the chances of me being absent. :p

I'm trying to go (first time!!) but I need a place to crash. Does anyone know if security guards or the such get mad if you sleep on the floor or in chairs?

Plane tickets took a bite out of me though, so should I appear stingy when it comes to gas money, don't take it personally.

Nate, I'd like to be able to help you out again this year, but we'll have five, possibly six people in our room. Hope you can work something out, though.

I don't think they mind (lots of people sleep on couches and stuff there) but I don't know that you can spend the night there, I think the convention center does have hours it's closed. Plus, there's no showers there, so...yeah. :\

Also as an update, my room situation is resolved, I have someone I'm staying with. I'd offer to split a room with you, Mina, but I'm sure you don't want to stay in the same room as me. :p I'll ask the person I have arrangements with if they can fit you in, but since it's his house rather than a hotel, it might not work out. I'll still ask though.

Wish I could come have fun with you guys, but as usual, it just isn't going to happen. Take lots of pictures and videos!
