I had no idea you could make tattoos this detailed. Talk about making the most of the human canvas!

o-o\ I've always wondered how they do the "shading" on tattoos. Well done ones look like they were just drawn on paper or on a canvas. It's amazing.

Also, I'm a big fan of the Alice in Wonderland tattoo posted. >3< <3

well, its only with 1 needle (or i think sometimes 3?) and they dip it into the color they want and just draw. lol. its very time consuming. XD

And cos I'm a conceited brat, heres MY TATTOO!!! =D I'm still estatic about it, and it healed AMAZINGLY. Even after tanning and everything, it's kept such a deep shade. Just lovely ^_^

OH!

AND! I know you all will appreciate this:

My best friend, Colleen, just got the linework of her half sleeve done... SAILOR SATURN! Ya. This isn't the greatest picture, and I blocked off her face for obvious reasons, but I think it looks AMAZING, especially in person. She's getting the colour in September.

If you watch it get done, it's just like shading with a pencil or pen. It's really quite fascinating, though I'd never want to have one done. Couple reasons for that. I'm fickle. There are very few things I've stuck with my whole life, and I'm pretty sure Back to the Future, Short Circuit, Mega Man, and Ghost Busters would make good tattoos.

...

Ok, Megaman would make a pretty *****in' tatt, but my point stands. There's nothing I could put on my skin that I personally will still want there in ten years.

Secondly, I love the art of tattoos, but I don't find them attractive. I find them beautiful, but I don't find myself drawn to those who have them. That's a personal preference.

Thirdly, Jen would totally divorce me if I got one.

Those designs are really cool! =D

I would like one, but I haven't decided on what to get. Probably a small one on the ball of my shoulder.

S-Such a simple answer...! :O

I'd watch, but I've got a horrendous fear of needles/tattoos. Which is why I'd never get one myself.

To be honest, it doesn't hurt...

Like, in comparisson... it feels like someone drawing on you with a sketching pen... like, a very fine tipped pen. The only thing that hurts about it is the fact that they go over the same area about a hundred times... so the skin gets raw and it just gets reallllyyyy annoying.

And I LOVE the design Savv.
I'm getting a rabbit... like, from Watership Down in black and grey on my foot. Originally I was going to have it missing a foot, and then get the "rabbits foot on a keychain" tattooed on my other foot, but I'm not sure about that anymore.

Man. I love tattoos. I think it's such a ... magnificant way to show art.
Although my boyfriends mom has like, the Nike checkmark on the back of her neck, and DC* and Burton symbols tattooed on her. I think thats a little lame... cos she shoulda been paid to be an advertisement, haha =P

Ooh, a lady at work says the foot tattoos hurt, compared to getting them other places.

I've always been interested in tattoos, but I've never had a clue as to what I'd ever do design wise, no matter how cool a Rebel Alliance symbol or Valve logo looks, lol

But really, I think it needs to be something timeless. I don't want an anime character or be a walking billboard XD

Or 9000 stars on my face...

Quick question: Does it hurt to get one on the back of your hand? If I were to get one, that's where it'd be.....and it'd be the demon hunter symbol (demon skull with bullet hole in the forehead)

Depends...

I mean, I have a couple friends who have mittens (both hands completely covered to the wrist) and they said it hardly hurts, but some people who just get something small say its the most painful thing ever.

As a rule, I was told it hurts more when theres
a) more bone as opposed to fat
b) sensitive skin

But, I found the fleshy part of my hip area hurt a HUNDRED times more then getting tattooed on the ribs, which is supposed to be really painful. So it's different for each person.

I've also been to a couple artists where they refuse to do hand tattoos if you're under a certain age, because they know it'll cause problems (finding jobs, etc...) for you when you get older, so that could be an issue too.

My favorite of tattoos... sadly, I cannot get them for a very very long time.

I almost cried at this idea... it's very clever and sweet:

I can't think of what I'd get... probably something lame like... Last Call, or Game Over or Stay Gold... haha.

Oooh, another Watership Down fan?!
*SQUEAL*

Thinking about a Watership Down tattoo, I would have to say that THIS
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/42/Movie_poster_watership_down.jpg/398px-Movie_poster_watership_down.jpg

would be the most epic one ever.
Except it would be really, really scary, lol.

Or the Black Rabbit of Death, leading the other rabbits through the air...

Gosh, I wanna watch that again.
But back on topic, some of these tattoos are just absolutely awesome! That old guy with the kid mowing has one great sense of humor, haha. Although, when he loses more hair... the kid will be mowing nothing... ^_^;

Absolutely awesome Sailor Senshi tattoo as well :3
