We keep our bathroom door closed. My cousin is very particular about that. Personally, I don't care, but I comply to keep the peace.

But I feel you about the toilet lid. Especially since my toothbrush is in the bathroom. PLEASE put the lid down BEFORE you flush the toilet! I will probably just put my toothbrush in the cabinet like I did in the dorm when the toilet didn't even have a lid. My cousin's boyfriend never seems to remember to do the above and it's frustrating.

Another one of mine are people who don't wash their hands after using the restroom. Or putting utensils that have touched raw meat on the kitchen counter. I'm not hyper-germophobic, but I am very particular about certain things.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

I cook. A LOT. And I completely agree with this- it's so disgusting! (the utensils on the counter is okay as long as the counter has been cleaned beforehand- like it should always be- and it will be cleaned before anything else goes on there, so there's no risk of cross-contamination).

One of my pet peeves would have to be when people open the back door to let my dogs out into the back yard and then leave it open to let moths, flies and other little pests into the house. >_> And then I'm the one who has to catch the moth and let it back outside or squish the fly or scream at him to kill the hornet because I'm a major chicken. =3=;;

Another pet peeve is when you have an item of food in the refrigerator and it is clearly known to be yours, but someone else comes along and eats it anyway. :l
