Does anyone remember the game "Earthbound" for the SNES? If so, what did you think about it? I thought it had a really creative storyline. It's probably one of my favorite games for super nintendo, next to Lufia 2. ^_^

Ooo! Me! Me!
I've played it and I thought it was very cool (I still wonder why I sold it
) The only part of the game I didn't like was that Threed place, it gave me the creeps with all those scary zombies. Of course I saw that I would have to get over it if I wanted to continue into the game. I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't all just going around defeating monsters either (i.e. you could go to a performance at the concert hall). Overall I think Earthbound was a very creative and original game.

Earthbound = I love that game! It's just soooooo weird! LOL It was one of the games that got me hooked on RPGs. Despite its oddly NES style graphics, it was addictive...hehe

Some people really are picky with the visuals of a game. Some reviewers would rate a game "bad" just bcuz of the art. But for me it's all about the gameplay.
I liked those battle theme songs too, but then again I like almost any video game song...

You just have to say it. Earthbound is the best game ever. Next to the FMA game coming out soon.

Earthbound was good quirky fun, I love how the game just placed such a casual-modern world and made it so fun. I use to like the kid with the glasses...forgot his name and I remember the boss fights were hard. Another thing I use to love, those scratch and sniff stickers that came in magazines back in 1994/1995. This game along with FF VI and Chrono Trigger cemented my love for rpgs.

I will never forget those scratch and sniff stickers. One of them smelled like this wood looking soap that my neighhbor had at her house. I thought it smelled so awful. It was one of the enemies, I think it looked like a wolf or something. But anyway, it was gross. ;_;
Gypsy: What's wrong with Ness? *lol*
But hey, why do so many people think it was such an unusual game? What was weird about it? I guess I just like weird stuff, so it's not weird to me XD

It was weird because it wasn't about a group of knights going around killing monsters and dragons in a medieval world. It was weird because it was about a group of elementary school kids fighting off aliens (and other crazed loonies) in a modern world, specifically, going from city to city. It's weird because it's not your average dungeons and dragons type game.

That's why it was so great ^_^ I love when elementary school kids fight aliens and giant robots. You're right though. Most RPG's have older people as the heroes, and it is hardly ever in a modern day setting. I really like "modern" RPG's. That's why I like Skies of Arcadia so much. It's not really modern, but there are teenage pirates that live in the sky. To me, that's so cool. ;_;
