That annoys me. They're video game systems, that's what they were MADE to do. Did you ever see the Atari with a record player fused into it?

Dude...don't mess with me...I've been playing video games since most of the younger members around here were in diapers and drooling.
Bringing CAA into this has nothing to do with video game systems.
Hardcore gamers need no bells. We need no whistles. All we need is gaming power. And that's what the Gamecube gives.
But then you have the money-grubbers like Microsoft and Phony...Sony....and they don't really care about gaming. They have other things to worry about. But Nintendo doesn't have to worry about selling computers, or any other electronic crap like stereos. They're a pure gaming company, and I admire that. I think only Nintendo deserves to have a gaming system out there, because they're the only ones focusing soley on their duty.
.Nintendo has always made excellent games at decent prices
Thank you, Vyse. You just made me hate my PS2.
Nintendo Barely makes money on the GameCube, because the price has had to be lowered so much, why? cuz it's just a console.
But Nintendo's in it for the fans.

Some of the extra features are nice to have. Still, I don't think consoles should turn into PCs. That's a little bit ridiculous.
Nintendo...:\ Let me just say that I think they could do better. I don't wanna spend another 100 dollars on a console just so I can play the Nintendo games. -_- There aren't enough Gamecube-exclusive titles -that I'm interested in- to warrant me buying the console.

As for noteworthy X-box, and PS2 games, I would suggest you go to sites like gamerankings.com and look it up for a change. Both systems have had tons of wonderful games. Off the top of my head: KOTOR, Disgaea, Steel Battalion, Ratchet and Clank, Ninja Gaiden, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Crimson Skies, etc, etc, etc.
The real question for Nintendo fans is what good games did they produce for the shamecube that arent just a minor upgrade and some new graphics and why did Nintendo fumble so poorly in dealing with the online part of play? Some of us can only stand to play the same game over again for so long and like playing games online.
uc pseudonym wrote:Super Smash Brothers Melee: minor upgrade it is not. The ridiculous number of characters and Event mode set this game apart.
Metroid Prime: if you compare this to the SNES games, it seems that some work has been done.
Niehaus wrote:Ooh... two whole games... and they're sequels... and not playable online.

Donesh wrote:I would agree with you about Metroid Prime. It did receive a substantial update. It will be interesting to see what the sequel is like.
However, SSBM plays, and feels way to much like SSB. Yes it did get more characters, and an event mode but the overall 4-player gameplay is far to similar to the original.
