CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Is anyone here going to be playing the new City of Heroes superhero MMORPG? It comes out on April 28th, and looks quite good. The Beta NDA was just lifted, and its getting alot of good praise and buzz from most of the beta testers.

It would be cool to create a Christian superhero team in the game.

The downside is the $15 monthly fee to play the darn thing.

i think this game has always planned on having a monthly fee, i hope that they have a open beta sometime soon, i know i wont buy it, but there is one mmorpg thats coming out in september that has NO monthly fee, called guildwars http://www.guildwars.com

anyways this game looks nice, id like to try it, but i probably wont get the chance

This is something that I've been keeping my eye on. It looks cool.
I might possibly get this eventually. I'm not sure yet.

As for the monthly fee, well, most MMORPGs have one and that's not going to change any time soon.

According to what I've read about the game somewhere, you can't be a supervillian on the game's first release, however, I have heard that they may be planning a supervillian expansion pack for sometime in the future.

There is some pretty interesting and in depth back story on the game's website.

Nope... no PvP in the initial release... (one of the things that some people I guess are complaining about )

Game looks and sounds great, but I won't be able to play it for a long time... kinda looking forward to Worlds of Warcraft myself, but that too will require a PC upgrade.

well, after a few hours of playing, i really want this game, i think its an great refresher from all the mideval mmorpgs and stuff

first lemme tell you about the game
the character creation is so extensive it takes around a half hour to go through all of the options, and there are ALOT of them, which makes for a very unique character
the graphics are very good, some of the best ive seen in a mmorpg
and once you get used to the interface, its a piece of cake, very easy to learn.


the first character i made was Sarutobi
he is a Natural Scrapper, and he uses a katana(he is basicly a big red samurai), the only problem is that he stinks badly, i dont think im going to get back on him,

the second character i made is Yuri
he is a Mutation Blaster, and he can cast some really awesome fire skills, he is good, alot better than my scrapper, he looks cool too(he has long hair), only during the day lol, he is a good character that i might continue in the 8 days i have left to play

my third character is Jing
he is a Technology Defender, he is REALLY big and he is so good, he has radiation skills that are awesome, he looks SO cool, hes like a big mech guy, black and red
he is definatly who im going to play, he can solo so good
