Well, I guess I never told you people straight out that marioworld is finished.

If you have CS installed, enjoy.
[edit] And for those who are lazy, here's a screenshot most people who play Fy_Marioworld won't see.

Hahaha.... Mario and CS?
Anyways, sweet mod, dude!
Yeah, I really wish my CS cd wasn't shattered into three distinct pieces.... why? why? why did it have to be CS? why not Force Commander? Oh'well, yeah... umm... cool mod!

If you have good Internet connection and proper CD-key, then you should just download Steam and play 1.6. No need for CDs anymore
In fact, I just finished Opposing Force. An interesting mod, but never had access until I got Steam.

Whoah! That's really cool! Just how do you go about doing something like that anyway?

Using Hammer and Wally
(note: Hammer and Wally are two different programs used to create maps for HL engine. ZHLT are compilers. Hammer makes .map files, Wally makes .wad files for textures, and ZHLT compiles it all into a little package, and make the map playable)
Took a while to get the textures right. Notice how high Mario and Luigi jumps in comparison to mere Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists. Mario and Luigi are both super-human! No wonder they're heroes.

I wish I could do stuff like that...it looks so hard though!
I think I've heard of those programs before, but my memory is so sketchy, I can't even remember where I left me socks...

I've never had any grand ideas for levels or whatnot (short of a vague idea for Theif which was done well by others, including Looking GLass with Theif 2)... but I have played around a bit with the level editing software.
So far most of them I find very cumbersom to use compared to the drafting packages I've used in the past. Then again I was spoiled with most of my (short) drafting carreer being done on AutoCAD which was the top of the top at the time.
Looking good from what I can see... I generally don't on-line play since I'm dialup, but now that I've got a USR modem, I might look into trying it again. Lag is such a pain though... I'd be better off waiting till I can broadband again.

Building good maps are difficult (heck, I had to design my own 8x8 grid in order to optimise map making processes) but it's fun to run around in your own place of creation.
I should one day use CAD, although AFAIK CAD is supposedly harder to use than other designing tools. Well, at least transfering CAD work into other programs that is.
