...for...*groan* a family-friendly game.

I'm attending a...*groan* family gathering and have been asked to bring along my Xbox 360. There will be elderly people in attendance, some of which are boycotting...*groan*...Disney. So basically, any game that contains anything remotely violent (or otherwise) is out.

Problem is, I know of only one game that might be both considered family friendly and any kind of fun whatsoever (Rayman: Raving Rabbids), and we've pretty much played the fun all out of it.

I have no idea where to start. Any ideas?

Hmmm...well, any racing game should work...so how about any of the Burnout games?

For the 360, the only major family-friendly retail release that I am aware is Viva Pinata. Heard it was a great game but did not sell a lot. Of course, Microsoft had a conference recently showing their work in progress for a sequel. There is also a large downloadable library for 360 on Xbox Live Arcade, but I really do not know much about their selection. Link Antilles can probably give advice on the downloadable titles.

EDIT: If you want to include racing games, Forza Motorsport 2 is considered one of the premier racing simulations, but I am not sure that is what you want for your family gathering.

Wow, that’s a hard one. I think about 70% of my 360 games are rated “M”. Steal a Wii (don’t forget to grab the Wii Sports disc!) and find a copy of Wii Fit.

Ok, that may not be possible. Uh, Lego Stars Wars: The Complete Sage or Lego Star Wars II? There’s 2 player co-op play in those.

Rockstar’s Table Tennis is fun and probably super cheap now.

There the movie trivia game “Scene it!” (if they aren’t boycotting the other studios) on the 360 which includes the four remotes to play multiplayer. It’s a great party game, if you haven’t overplayed the board game.

On the downloadable side there’s Worms, UNO, and Bomberman Live. Check out the demos. Mostly “cartoony” super super cute violence in those. Of course, none in UNO…

Not sure how much you care about them, but there’s always racing games. Burnout, DiRT, Forza 2 (more of a “sim”, so turn on the driving help line), and Project Gotham Racing 4.

Then there’s the last resort…. *groan* Fusion Frenzy 2. Taking turns in Hexic would be more fun though.

Edit: No multiplayer, but yeah, Viva Pinata is awesome no matter what.

My sister picked up Burnout 2 for six dollars, so there's that. I'm leaning towards getting Viva Pinata after playing the demo.

Thanks for the help. XD;;

I dont know how they would feel about it, but guitar hero is pretty family friendly, and it can be pretty fun to play in a group. So you can try that out. or maybe DDR.
other than that there aren't very many family friendly games that are fun in a party.

I dont know, I figured there was a specific reason that they were mad at disney. I also couldn't think of any ways that the two were related, so I didn't know what they'd think of it.

Guitar Hero is too expensive to blow on just a few nights. Thanks, anyway.

Beautiful Katamari. Might be hard to find as a rental, but you should buy it anyway.

Viva pinata is odd. Its a great game in one extent but a completly annoying game on the of side.

But then again, GTA4 could make your family appreciate that disney isn't like that. lol, jk.
