Yup, Bioware showed Lucasarts how to make a awesome Starwars game. It's one of my all-time favs and it has the best side kick... HK-47! It's one of the only games, I've actually laughed out loud while playing. I rented the X-box version, then bought the PC version. It looks soo much better on the PC. The voice-acting is top-notch (beats the new SW movie's acting).

I give it a 9.2/10

 so does the PC version play well... i love Kotor but man, glitches like no other. (x-box) i can't even see my ending... if freezes up on me half way thru. so sad, i had to go watch the ending at my friends house. i think it is where i saved it when a glitch was going on instead of resetting it. now i have 10 big Z's on my ship and no T3.
as for what i played it was Solider/Sentinel Purple and Green and i wear armor. i beat the game as extreme Light Side now to play as Dark side...

I played throught twice on the PC and haven't had a real problem. I have a Dell XPS system. I heard it has some serious problem where it won't even load on some systems that are above the required stats.

KoTOR is a sweet game. I haven't got very far in it, but i think it is great. I am borrowing it from my boyfriend for Xbox. He loved it too and thought it had the best story line. I can't wait to get more into the game. The thing that amazes me is the way it looks. The graphics are gorgeous! And the battle system is sweet too. It truely is a great game. :thumb:

Hopefully this link works for you :

While it's not being done by Bioware inhouse, the company that will be doing it is working with Bioware (and aparently has the green-light of doing as good a job as them)....

This is much like Ubi doing the Myst 3 game instead of Cyan who was already working on their Uru project (don't know if Ubi will be doing another similar Myst game or not, but I liked much of what they did with the last one).

I'm borrowing it. I've had it for about three days, and I'm 13 hours into it. Very immersive.

Bioware always tend to produce good games -- NWN is a sweet example. Having read all this I've decided that I MUST get this game now.

Yes, you should. The only downer to the game is the PC is.. it's very buggy. Even if your above the system req. the game may not even turn o, 'cause some of the bugs are so bad. I have a dell XPS and it runs fine, but my friend has a Gateway that's a little slower and the screen just turns black. They have release sereval patches to fix it, but not all bugs are fixed. It's sad that Bio-ware didn't spend at least a extra month to Beta test the game. Yet, the game runs seemless on my computer at the max settings, yet... I have had it crash now and then. So, what I'm saying is, it's kinda random wether it will work or not and save often!

That, Link, is one of the many reasons why I bought an XBox (not that games never crash there).

Actually, with PCs (and Windows PCs esp.) there are a lot of things than can influence how software runs... and games tend to tax the PCs abilities in ways that web browsers and word processors don't.

Make sure your friend is running the system as clean as possible... nothing running in the background, Virus, worm and Parasite free... Makes a big difference.
