Help with Yu-Gi-Oh Deck (for those YGOers out there)

Hey guys how've you been? I've been doing fine. I know that I haven't been here for a long time but I couldn't figure out where to get help with this without getting negatively bashed at. Anyways Does anyone play yu-gi-oh out there? Because I need help with my that I made a while ago.

Now i did finish it but it was before the current state of the metagame (which i don't follow anyways because It confuses me.) Anyways, so now I wish to update it to better go against the decks that are being built now as far as meta goes. I had started to update it, but I hadn't really started having ideas and questions about how to update it until my friends said it wouldn't even stand up to the decks being built in the current state of the meta-game.

Now I really don't like keeping a deck to one type of monster so if it looks jumbled sorry. I try to make my strategy the theme and keep it throughout. I think there is so much more advantages and possibilities to look through when you don't keep it to one type. I know that ther has to be someone out there somewhere but right now I'm the only one I know

The deck is pretty straight forward. The points of the deck are to basically decrease the opponents attack power and pummel them with high atk monsters (I told you it was straight forward.lol). But I have 2 problems with this deck 1) it doesn't have the speed needed to take on the gadget decks. It tends to get bogged down and slow against things like Weenie Rushes and Gadget Decks, but I think this is because of my second problem. 2) it's doesn't seem to me to have as much synergy as It should and I have ran out of ideas to make it run smoother. I'm a pretty dry well now lol. While I do think I should switch out Berserk Gorilla for another Slate Warrior, and Cybernetic Magician for another Lvl 5. (I want to add another Lvl 7 there too but don't know who I should take out). besides that I'm blank.

I play Yugioh on-line on ocasion, although I've been doing it less recently, mostly because everytime a new ban list comes out it seems to take out another one of my favorite cards, and my decks seem to suck against most of the recent expansions . Which flying Kamakira are you using (there are two)?

I'm sorry, but I'm not too good with deck building, so I'm not too sure how much good advice I could give. A few things did stand out to me though; Chain destruction seems like a risk, since you'd need to know if they had multiple copies of the monster you were using it on. Maurading captain seems out of place, since their are only a few other warrior type monsters on whom his effect could be used. I also wonder how useful insect imitation is, since you only have one in the deck and not all your monsters are insects. But I can't really think of any cards I would add instead, other than a few general trap/magic cards that I tend to use in every deck (stuff like magic cylinder, and needle ceiling ^^)
