Ancient Relics

Postby Aleolus » Wed Jul 04, 2007 7:37 pm

And finally, here are a few ancient relics I came up with. Let me know if you recognize any of them, as none of them are original from me!

1)A group of twelve things, actually. 12 talismans, each with a symbol of the Chinese Zodiac, and each granting a unique power.
1: The Dragon; 30-ft cone of fire, follows the rules of a breath weapon
2: The Pig; 2 maxed out Burning Ray's fire from your eyes, at will
3: The Sheep; Astral Projection
4: The Ox; several effects, most basic of which is +2 Str per character level.
5: The Snake; Greater Invisibility, at will, self only
6: The Tiger; Spiritual balance. Changes alignment to True Neutral.
7: The Monkey; Transform any one creature into any other creature, including self, at will.
8: The Rat: Animate Object
9: The Rabbit: Basically haste, self only
10: The Rooster; Levitation at will, target does not have to be willing
11: The Horse; Combination of a maxed out regeneration spell and a Heal spell.
12: The Dog: Immortality (you do not age, nor do you die of old age)

2) A cat idol. Appears as a normal cat sitting down, with one paw out (claws extended). Seems to be made of obsidion or some other black stone. Anyone who gets scratched by it takes 1 point of damage, and instantly gains +4 Dex, gets a +2 racial bonus on Balance, tumble and jump checks, and a -1 on swim checks, and acquires (Feline) as a subtype. Then, over the next 3d8 hours, they physically acquire the properties of a cat-person. Exact details are up to the DM, but cat ears, a tail, and fur are usually included. This can be cured, if anyone is interested, I will go into how in my next post.

3) The Dewitchery Diamond. Any creature who is under the effect of a physical transformation who touches the diamond is split into two different beings. One is identical to the other, with the exception that one of them is totally as they are normally (without the "curse"), and can shift between his own form and the cursed one at will. The other is permanently under the effect of the curse in all of it's forms and can pass it on to others.
As an example, someone who was bitten by a werewolf, and therefore became a werewolf, touches the diamond. That person is split in two, one normal, with the ability to morph into a werewolf body at will, the other is permanently a crazed werewolf who can turn others into werewolves by biting them.
