Kingom Hearts and KH 2...

i saw a preview of KH2 on xplay. one word to describe what was there: BEAUTIFUL. theres new heartless and some ppl in black, hooded cloaks.

and on the first KH i just bought yesterday im on Halloween town.

i DLed the theme to it called simple and clean and i got the remix of it.

does anyone know the theme to KH2?

What is the game like? When I first heard about it, and that it had Disney characters mixed with Final Fantasy characters, I thought it sounded like a train wreck.

ya it is. but it has original ones too. adn the hardest fight in the game is with sephiroth form FF7 and one of your friends in it is Squall aka leon form FF8.

Kingom Hearts is one of my favorite games. It sounds likea horrible idea...Micky with Cloud, perish the thought. But Square really (i feel) took control of the game. You play (mostly) on Disney worlds, but other than Donald or Goofy being about 10 steps behind you, you begin to forget you are interacting with Disney creations. The look and sound of the game is wonderful and you start to love the worlds that you play in. (but alice and wonderland and the whale are really annoying...lol, sorry if thats a spoiler) Actually, i went and downloaded all themusic from all the lvls...Halloween Town and Travers Town are my faves. And of Course, Simple and Clean owns all.
KH-2 doesnt currently have a release date but i belive it will be released on the PS3. And also, a GBA game will be released shortly after the newyear, it picks up where Sora and company end (you'll have to see for yourself) and it tells a big chunk of the story inbetween KH 1 and KH 2. The creators advise you to play all 3 games in chronological order to get the full idea. Besides, what else are you going to do while you wait till lke 2005 for KH-2.
If you are just disguested at the idea, you should atleast give it a rent. I think it's worth it. You'll at least have some fun looking at the Graphics because there so purty. Give it a go.

Actually, KH-2 is set to be released sometime in 2005 and I think we don't have to worry about it being on PS3.
But yeah, KH is a great game. It was my first RPG and is really mild on the magic use in my opinion, for those who are wary of that.

Hmmm... KarateGirl took everything I was going to say. Ah well. She's right.

I'd add a bit: it is really nice seeing old final fantasy characters (especially Cloud and Sephiroth) done in proper 3D. [I realized now I have to explain that: previously, Cloud and Sephiroth were characters consisting of four or five different sprites combined. By "proper" 3D I mean that they have no sprites at all.]

there is no such thing as a PS3. that was just a rumor and its not gonna be made. at leasdt thats what nintendo power said about it when someone asked.

and yes the music is awesome and nearly unbeatable. however i didnt know there was goin to be a GBA game on KH. guess ill get it sometime.

Disney mixed with FF sounds weird but I heard it actually worked out. I heard the game was awesome (bros hoping to get for Christmas) and I think a second would probably be just as good. The onlt thing I didn't like when I heard about it is tainting the good name of FF with cartoons like Disney, I mean, dont' get me wrong Disneys cooland all, but I love FF waaaay better! (Go Aeris!)

they didnt say it was a rumor. i did. and anyway theyre not scared. nintendo is batter than sony in my opinion. anyway that issue was a long time ago. about 2001.

Yea, Sony better than Nintendo! But like cbwing said, lets not get into this . . . Bck on subject . . . when is Kingdom Hearts 2 supposed to come out? My bro got the first one and it is pretty cool. I hated the outcome f the Sora vs Cloud fight tho . . . (not spoiling) . . . it was just . . . wrong . . .
The only reason I like this game is because of the FF characters!

The North American release date of KH2 hasn't been announced yet, I don't think. We can probably expect it sometime in later 2004.

Yes, the battle with Cloud is entirely dependant on your performance. I haven't seen what happens if you do lose, but I could see how it could happen.

I've heard KH2 will be available in late 2004, early 2005. Apparently you will still be playing with Sora as the main character, with Goofy and Donald at your side. I also hear they'll be introducing a new character, a boy... But all the screen shots of him I've seen don't show his face for some reason. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
By the way, I lost the fight with Cloud, (to my eternal shame) but it was so long ago that I can't remember what happened. (Daaah!) I'm really sorry.
Anyway, I can't wait till the new one comes out.

As for the Sora vs. Cloud battle, it's been a while since I've done it but I don't think that there is too much of a difference between winning or losing the battle. You still end up fighting Cerberus and all that.

There is one difference: Cloud teaches you a move with the name "Sonic" involved somewhere (it has been quite some time). Sonic Slash, I think. I didn't use it much, but some people said it was great.

well.. I'm not really into searching all this stuff, but I did look at those three links- the game looks MUCH better than the first KH, however the first one WAS pretty good. I still say that It would have been better with more thought into the characters instead of just taking FF and Disney characters. The game is deffinately harder than just a kids game, so it drags down its reputation when you find out there a Disney characters, or at least thats my opinion.. I mean.. if you say you beat FFX, it makes you sound much better than saying you just beat Kingdom Hearts.. people just link that game to be a kiddy game. It does have a disney-like theme, but it deserves much more credit than what it is getting in public. The animation is the best I've seen in most games- you almost cant tell the difference between a cinema and gamemode. SO DONT GO SAYING THE GAME IS STUPID AND FOR KIDS WHEN YOU HAVENT BEATEN IT. I've had 4 people tell me that game is for losers when they havent played it.. woo, now that I've vented that out..
about the PS3, I just saw a new playstation at Best Buy that is half the length of the PS2, and there is a screen coming off the end, so you dont need to plug it into a tv. I think thats just a newer version of the PS2 though, right?

It's been a while since I beat him but I was certain that there was at least one difference. I did lose to him the first time I fought him but then I lost to Cerberus as well so I went to do something else then I came back, fought Cloud again, and beat him.
Sonic Slash was a pretty decent move from what I recall. I used the keyblade-throwing move, whatever it's called, more when I got it, however.

KH2 sposed to be released in JAPAN late this year...so it'll be at least till March prolly till it comes to the USA. That ability you learn from cloud? Sonic Blade. And does the story change? No. Basically if you beat Cloud he'll be outside and Sora will ask him if hes okay since you beat him and Cerberus kicked his butt....but if you lose Cloud does the opposite.

It would be smart to play Chain of Memories first. Since it has the red-haired unknown in it along with a few other unknowns...Also that blonde haired kid...I'm about 99.9% sure hes the Duel Weilder from Deep Dive......I could go on all day about this lol. So I'm gonna stop until someone else replies

Oh and here's a question for ya...How many keyblades are shown in Deep dive and which ones are they?

I heard 2007 because sony is taking there time. The japanese realse is sometime in 04 which means an early-mid 05 realse here. And you know how in the first one Sora is at his house and looks out his window to see a storm at the island. Well I think that city from KH2'S trailer is where Sora lived. The island was kinda just a hangout.
