I'm gonna say Loderunner and Lemmings. Loderunner gets the vote for letting you make your own levels and Lemmings gets it for really making you use your noodle. Plus, those little screams they make when they die can really make you cringe.

Columns. I loved that game.

I guess the Wario Ware series would count as puzzle games... or more like manic puzzle games. Otherwise, it's Lumines.

Whatever. Columns and Tetris are the only puzzle games I really played a lot. But Columns isn't Tetris-based. o_o

Well, I guess there's Bubble Bobble. That one was alright.

Tetris Attack isn't Tetris-based at all. It was just re-named that in the US so it would get attention. Personally, I used to be totally addicted to Tetris Attack.

Yep, Tetris Attack has no relation to Tetris at all.

The Myst series... best puzzle games ever

Lemmings comes in second though. Those were pretty awesome. Monkey Island I would consider a puzzle game too in a more... "abstract" way I guess.

Sorry. The name threw me off. OK, Tetris Attack can still work.

how about Puzzle Fighter. i love that game.
