The greatest Zelda adventure yet has come to the Wii's VC. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

This is one of my all time favorites. I've been waiting for this one. If you've never played it, or have only played the GBA version with the poor translation and gimped ice temple, get it now.

My friend was going to get this, then he smacked his head, said "Duh, I have this in two other forms already, and I would rather get games I don't have." and downloaded Bonk and Donkey Kong instead.

It's good for Nintendo they finally did this, though... I know a lot of people have been waiting... it was stupid not to have it at launch... I'll probably get it when I get my Wii...

I still have the SNES version so no need for me to buy it for my Wii.

I only had the ROM, and I hadn't beaten it, so I am now playing it on the Wii. They messed something up with the sound though. :/ Sometimes you can't really hear the sound effects, and I think they're missing an instrument on the start menu/fairy music. But it's stull a great game, and it's nice to be playing it legally on a TV screen with a controller.

Is there a difference between this - the original version of AlttP - and the GBA port of it? I'm wondering if it's worth it to play it again as the SNES version.

The GBA port is basically the same with a few added "stuff" along with the Four Swords game. Im not sure what the new content was since I dont have the GBA version but I remember that being advertised about an extra dungeon or something like that. But I dont think its differnt enough to get the SNES version. Its not like Master Quest and OoT which are quite significantly differnt.

Changes to the GBA port:

1. Added voice clips (When you swing your sword)
2. Four swords adventures. (Can only be played multiplayer)
3. Additional dungeon only accessible once four swords adventure has been beaten.
4. Gimped Ice Temple. (They made it significantly easier)
5. New translation. (I prefer the original)

I own all three versions. SNES, GBA and Wii. While the SNES version and the Wii are identical, I was willing to spend the 8 bucks to replace my SNES version. It's getting around the time where the internal battery will wear out (thus making it impossible to save).
