multilingual games

hi everyone

well my dad just started chemo today and he wants to use my ps2 while I'm away at college, so now I'm coming up with a few games that he might like. mind you, he doesn't like fps's or games that are graphic in violence or negative material. But anyways, I was thinking of games that had a multilingual setting to the game. For example, I know that in Jak 2, when you go to settings or options menu, you can change the language of the entire game, including the short clips and whatever. But I'd like to know if there are any more games like this?

Well, depends what language you're looking for^^ Some games, like Sonic Heros and Shadow the Hedgehog I believe have a number of different languages to pick from (or maybe those were the subtitle list I was looking at?), including the original Japanese language.

Also, the first 4 .hack games contain their orginal Japanese language, so it's great to hear the orginal voices on it^^ Although the .hack//GUs do not (still not bad voices though).

That's all I've found so far to have the settings changable. If I could, I'd play all my games in their orginal Japanese language, just because I like the voices^^ Well, at least I like havign the option, but the dub voices are pretty good on alot too.

Quite a few of the games which I've played have a multilingual option; the Ratchet and Clank series, for one; also, like you pointed out, .Hack and Jak 1-3 all have the option to change their languages.
I found it quite a good way to get myself used to learning French. Also, if you add the subtitles, if you miss a few words the audio way, you might be able to pick them up by the subtitle text (which in my case, always followed the language the game was set to; so if I'd set the language to French usually the subtitles were French too).

Well I think it really depends one what language we're talking about here. If it's something like Spanish or French then yeah it will probably be in most big name titles. Heck throw either Katamari Damacy game in there and you're set no reading required for that once you get the controls down. Good clean simple fun without any commitment to a story.

well I've been trying to find games with korean language since of course my family is korean
