Well, it has been quite a while since we've had one of these, so I guess I'll post. I'm very partial to Kirby in either game, though I don't like what they did with his control setup in Melee. But I'm not exactly an advanced player, either.

I'm not fond of marth as I am with Roy. It's a shame they're taking Roy out but keeping Marth in Brawl. Really lame if you ask me.

I like Roy, Link, Shiek, Y. Link, Ness, Fox, Falco, Samus, and I try to use Peach more often. My best characters would be Fox, Link, and Roy.

YAY Marth's in Brawl! Sorry, but I'm partial to the blue-haired one.

I haven't played recently, but I want to practice when I can. I'll be focusing on Marth, Peach, and Jigglypuff.

KIRBY! My prefered character! But I'll use most any of them when I'm not looking to win...

However, my best ones seem to be: Kirby, Mewtwo, Mr. Game and Watch, and Jigglypuff...

yeah. marth IS better than roy. however, roy is still an excellent character to use if you know how to use him right. though he takes more skill (middle tier) he can still be a strong character. speaking of which...there are too many people who kill their C-sticks using marth and roy. it's really cheap.

I'm good with most characters, but my favored ones:

-Roy - explosions are fun. =D
-Ganondorf - again, explosions. XD
-Mewtwo - hard as all insanity to control, but worth it if you get the hang of him.
-Mario - just all-around pretty good.
-Kirby - I don't use the powers. I have other ways of taking people out with him...
-Pichu - same reason ikimasu gave. I like beating people with the supposedly "most useless" one (and the goggles!!).
-Fox - fast (almost to a fault...), which can be pretty nice.
-Captain Falcon - same as Ganondorf, but faster.

And to bring up an interesting character to see for Brawl I heard someone mention:

MissingNo.

I chose Pikachu to begin with because I liked Pokemon, and I was very good with him(I think VEEEEEEEEEEEEERY). I stopped playing for a while, and picked up again, lost some of it, but I was still pretty good. Now, what about now a days
Have faith
-From somewhere in the Bible, and I agree with it

-God will only give you what you can take. He will not overwhelm you.
-From somewhere in the Bible

-Your faith becomes stronger when it's tested.
-I saw a Chinese guy with a cross on his restaurant desk in America. That's so cool. You can do that here. Not so much China.

I've recently been learning that I don't need to be "loud and pushy" to Evangelize; just living it out is enough witness. The problem was that I grew up around strong Evangelists (Korean Christians) and they were really into getting people involved and setting out to Evangelize, and me being a a yes-man (or yes woman) I was into trying to convert people.
I've been learning this lesson over the years, but have been trying to be pushy. Now I'm trying to ease off.

Does anyone have a link that provides information on this? This is the first I've heard of them removing Roy.

My favorite chars in Melee are Pikachu and Marth. I like playing with any of the other characters with the exception of Bowser.

My best characters are, in order of best to not quite best,

Roy (Simple to maneuver, with strong attacks)
Mewtwo (Me and my friends discovered a VERY strong combo that is hard to pull off, but hard to get out of)
Pikachu (My fav from the 1st game :P)
Falco (Fast and more cocky than Fox :D)

Sheik is my main fighter, although I've also used Link and Fox in the past. I just love how fast she is.

It's just the pits that my brother finally figured out how to kick Sheik's butt with Falco. Ah, I remember the good old days off Super Smash Bros: lots of yelling and arguing, with my brother claiming that he'd been going easy on me everytime he lost and me accusing him of being cheap for always using Falco, and then some more yelling.

It's probably for the best that the box is now gathering dust, it's been alot more peaceful in the family ;D

Actually, when I read through the faq it mentions that a rumor was started which claimed the developer had stated that some chars would be taken out (it didn't say any names), but it was found to be a complete rumor. I didn't see anything talking about Roy in that thread.

"Sometimes we don't present the Gospel well enough for the non-elect to reject it."
- John MacArthur

"In the total expanse of the human life, there is not a single square inch of which Christ, who alone is sovereign, does not declare, 'That is mine'."
- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."
- Westminister Confession of Faith (Chapter 5, Section 1)

"The wisdom of God has found a way for the love of God to deliver sinners from the wrath of God all the while upholding the righteousness of God!!"

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."
- Dr. Joseph Ton, the exiled Romanian pastor (quoted by James Montgomery Boice)

"The best prayer I ever prayed had enough sin in it to condemn the whole world."
- John Bunyan

"If the Christian has lost sight of Calvary, that shows that he has lost his way."

(Personally, I like Red Marth. He is quite literally one of the most powerful characters in the game, just very hard to master. Not that I'm close to mastering him, but I'm having fun trying. I'm too much of a brawler to do it quickly. I can beat three level nines in a free-for-all, but that's about it. Plus he his fighting style fits me personally (tho', again, when I play games I'm too much of a brawler.)
