Out of those I would have to say Unreal. Fun fun fun. But where is Goldeneye? Nightfire? No Bond? Unless you mean games that aren't Bond games...Then I think you got em dead on.

Definitely Unreal. Gotta love going on rampages while all I had to do was sit quietly and head-shoot anyone in my sniper's lens  It was fun being the only girl there and ranked the highest in kills--imagine their surprise . The only guy that could beat me was in god mode :stressed: And the fact you keep on reviving again unlike CS where you stay dead until a team wins.

Hey, any of you have "cheated" for your team by spying in ghost-mode? I was the only one surviving terrorist on my team as I guarded the hostages. I would wait around the corner for the counter team to come by and killed them all till only one of their members was left.

Well, the 'ghosts' of the counter team started to shout my every move to the survivor (we were playing in the internet cafe--I was the only girl  ) like, "She's going left! NO RIGHT! She's right behind the door!" ARGHH~! That's no fair teaming up on me!!!

Well, in the end I couldn't surprise the guy so I died when we traded bullets at point-blank

Oops, sorry about that, just sharing a bit ^^

for me, CS. definately.

for two years, i used to practice 8 hours a day for tournaments. it was crazy. a lone wolf player, who just keeps practicing more and more. thanks to that effort, i never go under 3rd from both teams when 10 on 10, exception of a very select few maps. in LANs that is, anywhere in Sydney.

i was formerly a clan president. it unfortunately didn't pull out very well, and i had to quit it. oh well.

then i kinda 'retired' into making maps for CS. after making around 50 maps, i ran out of ideas and you can often find me helping other mappers in countermap.counter-strike.net and give them advice etc.

yelling where the position of the enemy is cheap, although nothing can be said about it. why? the server can just disable dead observers viewing the game...

I'm a CS n00b - only been playing it a couple of weeks. Even though I keep dying really early on, it's still great fun. The only way I can kill people at the moment is by finding a dark little corner somewhere and sniping them :/

Perhaps it's because I'm always connecting to online servers..

There's a UT 2004? Must buy...

Anyway, UT (2003) is my favorite on the list, although right now my favorite is Halo PC (there is a PC version, you know). I like the execution of the different game types in UT. It it actually fun to play CTF, Domination, etc., in UT.

Then again, I've never played CS or Jedi Outcast, so I can't comment on those.

I notice the lack of Jedi Academy in this poll. But oh well. I want to get Counter-Strike, but I don't have Half-Life so I'm kinda stuck.

you dont need half-life to play CS

it comes as a game on its own!!

counter-strike 0\/\//\/z

Currently...

1. Call of Duty - still plenty of newbies to mess with and it replaces Medal of Honor
2. Halo - nuff said

Right now, those are the only FPS I play right now.

I would definitely recommend it. The PC version is also much better than the X-Box version, in my opinion.

No problem...I will definitely buy it when it does come out. Maybe we can play after that. :)

I was a big fan of Planetside for a while, but I've found that Massively Multiplayer Online First-Person Shooters get boring after a while. Used to love playing America's Army too, particularly playing counter-sniper sniper. ;)

What no Halo? What an outrage! That game was the coolest! To get 10+ people in the same house and all play each other, now that was fun.

I played in the open beta at the very end, then bought it when it came out over the summer and played it for a couple of months. Started out as a Terran MAX Pounder junkie, eventually picked up the 'squad commander' role and took up piloting a Prowler tank (although I still prefer gunning--I'm a pretty dang good shot). I stopped playing much when my outfit about died off around August/early September.

OFF TOPIC:

<Hmm, seems to be bearing a lot of good things about Halo lately... wonder if it's worth trying out the demo... (sorry for going off topic)>

Halo's less intense than CS, but it's got a great physics engine. I know guys who spend hours just blowing vehicles sky high.

END OFF TOPIC:

My actual favorite FPS is Day of Defeat, but it's mostly a CS mod, so I voted for CS, which is very good too.

Halo, until Halo 2 comes out. I also like Goldeneye, and Jet Force Gemini, if you consider that a first person shooter. But it's a third person, though I stay in 1st person aiming mode most of the time. Heh...I've NEVER been beaten. I mean it. Never.
