i really like the wide screen, and hopefully its cheap, cause my latest handheld the the original gameboy. i was really excited when these pictures came out a few days ago

It looks pretty cool to me, although I agree that the D-pad doesn't look functional, let alone comfortable.
The little strap on the side is a nice touch. I think it gives the system a more "portable" look.
Hopefully it will come in different colors, although the color scheme in the picture is quite nice.
It will be expensive, but it is also a lot more powerful than the GBA, so the extra cost is justified.
I'm glad it has the standard Playstation controller design...Dare I hope for a decent portable streetfighter?

Hmmmm, well if anyone could give the Nintendo GBA competition, I suppose Sony could.
All of Game Boy's other rivals in the past all failed to stop Nintendo's monopoly on the handheld industry so I am somewhat skeptical as to how good this one will do.

Looks cool . . . controls look like they need work, and it probably costs a arm and a leg! Oh well, when does it come out? I would get it, but I would have to save forever for it . . . I have nver been dissapointed with any sony stuff soo I'm sure it'll be cool!

I sure hope that sony's system is much better than the N-gage, but I'm not liking the alleged pricetag... GBA started at 100 dollars... It's now 80 for the GBA SP, and it will continue to go down... I just don't know if anyone can defeat the reigning supergiant of the handhelds... (no wait, that would be the gamegear... hehehe... sorry, had to answer an oxymoron with a pun)
