Don't get me wrong, I love FFXI, and playing online with thousands of other people, but I've found myself itching for a brand new, character-driven FF (X-2 doesn't count ~ *cough*rehash*cough*).
I think they need to get some new character designers, or something. Maybe let Yoshitaka Amano take over again...
I know he did 9's characters, which were cool in their own right, but he also did 6 (Tina, Mash, Gogo, Locke...my favourites!).
Just a thought, but it seems like they look a little too FFX-ish... need something fresh.

heh, the 3rd guy got flamed...anyways, I'm not too impressed thus far on the character designs maybe the others will be better.

Since il probobly never experience Final Fantasy XI I hope this is a good replacement, the characters look ok so far, just got to wait and see how the rest turns out.

BAH! It looks like final fantasy 10 to much. I hated Titus in that game. Le-sigh. Hope it turnes out better haha.

Anyway, this was a cool pic that showed the main characters very well.

Whoa, the game is being created by the team responsible for Vagrant Story and the Final Fantasy Tactics games...Middle Eastern archetecture... Viera, Bangaa, Moogles, and Judges... Vehicles that look like they came off of Star Wars...This should prove interesting. Now I'm eagerly looking forward to it.

Assuming this site's info is reliable, Nobuo Uematsu will return to do at least some of the music.
He is being joined by composer Hitoshi Sakimoto whose previous works include Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter, Legaia 2: Duel Saga, and Tactics Ogre.

Yeah, I just saw the video on gametrailers.com. The game seems to been coming along nice and it is a little reminiscent to Star Wars.

yea...unfortunatly on that ff12.com.....yea it only says ps2, since i dont have one, this is kinda bad for me......the last final fantasys on the computer (only thing i have) was 7, 8, and 11(which i cant pay for) so looks like i wont be playing another final fantasy anytime soon, i was really hoping that 11 would bring square-enix into the pc market.....

I have been a FF fan since 7,

and I think theyv'e done it again with this new one. All of the FF games are totally awesome, (there was no movie,there was no movie, there was no movie . . .) and this one looks like it will be too. . .
I love RPGS!!!!!!!

You know, there is more to a character than their design. They could have completely different personalities, as well as interesting back stories. Personally, I'm withholding judgement until I see it for myself.

That game looks awesome.. I love the architectural thing going on there.

I dont like the characters they dont look cool like Squall Zidane Riku and Myself
