Ah yes, Chrono Trigger was a good game. There were approximately 12 endings, but many of them were very similar. I think there were about six significantly different endings, but I could be wrong (especially depending on the definition of significant).
Magus is my favorite character.

Yeah, I've heard about it. Square as been very quiet about this game. Most things online about it right now are just rumors. Knowing Square it will most likely be for the PS2.

[skeptisism]Is it better than Chross?[/skeptisism] Chross isn't too bad, but it does get boring after a while.

Magus(spelling?) is my man! Scyths r00l! Sadlee I heard Crono Cross was not nearlee as good(bad) and I wouldnt want that to happen to a new one. I'm always fearful of additions to great games because they can hardly ever stand up to the original sometimes.

Chrono Cross is an entirely different game from Chrono Trigger... About all they have in common is a few linking characters (schala, one of the wise men guys (melchior?), Lucca) and the same world, though limited to a very small part which, well... I ain't gonna spoil it...
Chrono Trigger is way different... It has leveling up, it's more final fantasy style battling, but still based on contact with visible enemies, all battles take place where you make contact (no "battle screens") your location relative to the enemies has an effect on your strategy, there are fewer characters with better development, but if you want to figure out the mystery in the PRIMARY ending to CT, you need to play CC and then CB when it comes out...
CC is NOT a bad game, nor is it boring... You don't level up, and it is MUCH more strategy based than CT... Think final fantasy 8, but the normal battles are much harder... The entire playing space in CC didn't exist in any of the times in CT, but it is from the same world... CC has a lack of fans for one of the reasons that FF8 does too... The battles are much more complex than CT. You have to plan everything out... One great feature is that you can run from EVERY battle... Also, you can win every battle without having to level... All it takes is the right strategy (having "turn white" and a death attack doesn't hurt, hehehe) and a lot of carefull paying attention...
I love CC. It's not a TRUE sequal to CT, but it's not a TRUE unsequal like all the final fantasy games either... It's in the middle... And, even though the character development on most of the characters is pathetic, the characters that are important (Serge, Lynx, kid, harle) get excelent character development (even if serge doesn't talk...) I hope they ditch that in the new Chrono game... the "Silent protagonist" was annoying in Chrono Trigger, and I don't know if I want that again...
I love both of them... They can't be compared like people have been doing, though...

I would have to agree. CC is good too, but a poor sequal.

In some ways, I was disappointed by CC because I was expecting a sequel. One of the reasons I like CT was the characters and playing style. Thus, I was turned off by the differences in CC. One of these days, perhaps I can play it as its own game, and give it what it deserves.
