Is *now* the time to buy a Nintendo DS?

…or perhaps more importantly, I should ask, is there official justification to own the thing, now? I think so, and I’ll tell you why….
Recently, as you may know, the Video Game industry has not had the happiest of news stories. X-box 360 pricing, delay of Zelda, Hot Coffee, Jack Thompson’s attacking of the Sims 2 (questioning the legality of mods, in general), lackluster PSP games after it’s awesome release, and the financial losses reported by many (if not most) game companies. Blah. Blah. Instead of bringin more bad news to the table, I have some very good news, which of course concerns the Nintendo DS.
Late after noon yesterday (by East Coast time), Gamespot posted up reviews for Nintendogs and Advance Wars: Dual Strike, which are expected to see store shelves August 22nd. Nintedogs received a superb 9.1 and Advance Wars: DS got a tenth a point higher with a 9.2. Not to shabby, huh?

I’m excited about each of these games for two different reasons. The first reason more for one and less than the other. –And the second reason less for one and more for the other.
1.They look really fantastic and like an over all fun time – More so for Advance Wars, because I am a major fan of this excellent series. This game looks to scream the definition of gameplay and replay value. After reading the review for Nintendogs it looks like a great time to be had, but I *do* already own a dog. If I do decide to buy Nintendogs, it’ll be at a lower price or I’ll wait for the rumored “Holiday Versionâ€
