Like I posted in the Dream about games thread...

"I've also had a weird thought...wouldn't it be cool if we could use materia today? I mean come on...the ability to call down magic spells and summon...sooo kool !!"

I thought about it one day while I was at work...yeah a lot of my thinking goes on at work since its soooo boring lol. So what are your thoughts on Materia in our world...and we had the knowledge to use it?

I guess I shoulda said soemthing about that too...But thats the point of the thread tho . Well it would give us something to learn about and use to bring peace...of course the classic good versus evil would happen...but still it would be nice to have the magic....cure and heal...cept of course the magic wont be very powerful unless we concentrate on it really...just up to you its open ended so just gove me your opinions

Interesting thought, yes, but I'm rather glad that people can't call summon monsters at will. And I think I'll leave the supernatural abilities to God and be glad that I don't live inside a video game.

Provided he doesn't seek out real magick, there's nothing wrong with that... We all wonder about what life would be like if we had "powers." It's just great to think of etraordinary solutions to ordinary problems.

So, yeah, It's not different than saying things to your friend like "I'm going kill you" in jest. It's hard for me to say this is writing, but I don't mean something like that which comes out of hatred, but the kind that comes out of "you just beat me in a video game" or "you just made me spill my last bit of mountain dew on the ground" To hate someone is sin, and to kill someone is sin, but to joke about killing with no hatred behind it, that's not. See what I mean?

i used to do that kinda thing for real... its scary stuff. i was involved w/ the occult for 3 years, whether it be used to help people or not, it's still very, very bad.

i know you guys are only kidding, but please keep in mind that there is power in new age, and it's all demonic power, no matter how it might appear to be "good" on the outside. thankfully, God, who is infinitely more powerful than all the powers of darkness, set me free from the occult.

Nah I wasnmt intending or leading on that I'm into magic. It's just a curious thought that it would be kool to use magic if we had the knowledge...even tho it's not possible with us...I didnt mean to start anything bad...this can be locked if seem fit.

And I'm saying if we did have that knowldge, it wouldn't be cool, it'd be sinful because of what God says in the Bible, and I ask you to read over the post that Lynx made in this thread.

I don't appreciate the argumentativeness in this thread. we all know that practicing magic is a sin, but I don't believe that was the point of this post.
