But what does one do in a gaming guild such as thus...I mean this?

How about an indepth discussion of how there is an underappreciation for classic games just because of the lack of graphical prowess? Or maybe how companies are putting out new systems before the old ones hit their stride? Or swap furniture and wallpaper from Animal Crossing?

Does anyone here play any of these computer games?

Quake 3 Arena
Tribes
HalfLife/Counter Strike
Alien Vs. Predator

If any of you do, maybe we could play on line sometime!

I have an X-box, but not X-box live. Maybe we could get that someday...

My friends, any poor fool can call themselves a gamer. I'm calling out to the ones willing to lose sleep merely to beat a level, to stay up past 4 in the morning playing RPG's, those who swear to beat Sephiroth in Kingdoms Hearts!

THE ONES THAT KNOW WHAT "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!" MEANS!

..that, my fellow CAAers...is a gamer...

that said, anyone got any video game wallpaper?

I don't have a PC really fitted for playing the latest games...I tried playing UT 2004 but painfully experienced the game. So maybe I'll upgrade my system soon. I do have Xbox Live and I usually am playing Project Gotham Racing 2, Rainbow Six 3 and Crimson Skies. So if anyone has it and wants to add me, my gamertag is NeoCustom.

I have spent all night on Final Fantasy 6, FF tactics, Metal Gear Solid, and to a lesser extent, that X-box star wars game.

Oh, and I swore to get at least a B in "Afronova" on DDR... But, that's a bit different.

EDIT: Ooh, we have a Bubble Bobble arcade game at my church... I got into the 60's or 70's before we didn't get to the credits button in time...

In general I am too balanced to do anything of the sort. It would, however, be a certainty that I would finish the game the next day, most likely around 5-6 AM.

That's just internet pop culture... of course, if you know or have played the game the quote alludes to, then perhaps that does state something about your level of gamerness.

GET OUT! No I'm just kidding sorta, hehe.

Bubble bobble was a chirpy little puzzle/platform game in the Arcades and on the NES. Very fun, and very addictive. You blew bubles to trap mosters and then you jumped on them and turned them into fruit to go deeper underground until you reached the 100th level and fought a boss... I forget why all of this was happening, but I don't think most gamers cared at that time.

Yeah... I have never played Zero Wing because I only owned a Genesis for about 2 weeks and never got a chance to get new games for it... *iz sad*

I am relatively certain there was not a reason. Actually, I never really got into this game, but I understand it's a cult classic.

Ah, Bubble Bobble... my parents had a really good time over that one, much to the dismay of my sister and I who had to patiently wait our turn (but had fun watching them compete for points at the same time). ^_^

I feel certain that it wouldn't be worth the effort... I've already seen the intro, there isn't much more to gain from it. However... is there an ending movie? If so, that would have the potential to be another internet phenomenon...

Maybe if there's more than a handful of xbox live gamers on this site of 1600+ people, I can set up some informal tourneys. If you win, I guess you could have a banner that says "CAA's official (insert xbox game title here) champion," or something.

Along those lines, if anyone wants to, uh, play ATV offroad... Oh, nevermind... I need to get Socom or something...
