*feels he should break the tension*
I myself have never played it and I'm just not entirely convinced. From what I've seen, it just looks too simple, like something that would get boring before too long. Ehh. I'll rent it. If it's truly as entertaining as so many people say, I'll buy a nice cheap used copy.

Trust me, Spoonybard (I love that in FF4!) I absolutly disliked Katamari Damcy when I watched my friend play through.

It`s extremely addicting. If you think this is simple, you must be a plummer.

You can find it used for like $15 easy. It's something you have to play to believe. But trust us it's that good I wouldn't even bother renting it really you're gonna like it that much. I don't think it's possible for anyone who calls themselves a gamer to not like it. Heck my mother likes it. The last game she enjoyed was Tetris 2.

All right, I'll pick it up next time at the mall. I couldn't find it at Blockbuster anyway. No Katamari love at Blockbuster, can you believe it?

Yep. Most "niche" or "sleeper" titles are pretty hard to find there. I've had a hard time locating Full Metal Alchemist games.

Okay. So I bought it a few days ago. Finally. And yes, now I understand why everyone seems to love it so much. "Oh my goodness, I just picked up a (fill in the blank)! Hah!" I gotta get that soundtrack somehow. I need it for my life!

I'm not sure I follow you. Do you mean to say that Katamari Damacy is more complex than it looks, or rather that people who pick plums are extremely intelligent?

It's one of the strangest, most addicting games I've ever played. There's just something innately satisfying about rolling up huge balls of junk, food items, and living creatures.

Must be the deeply buried neat freak in me.

I absolutely love Katamari! I have only played "We Love Katamari" but I want to get Katamari Damacy. The music is incredibly well done. The gameplay is so unique and addictingly fun!

The PSP actually looks like a good buy. I've been thinking about getting one. With the rise of the new Katamari game... i'm seriously considering getting one... once I gets some $.

I remember seeing this game in Anime Insiders as one of those "Werid games that you probably won't see in North America for some time!" waaay back when, and thought the idea of the game was odd. So I have just one question that I still don't understand: where's the fun in rolling garbage/objects? ^^ No seriously! Never played it and I really don't understand^^

And you won't until you play it once. Then it'll be an addiction. Trust me. :dizzy:

That's just Tom's way of saying MaMK is the PSP one and WLK is the PS2 one.

I picked up WLK a few weeks ago. I can't believe it's actually even better than Damacy. I love getting all the cousins together and dancing around in a big group. Whee! And the new stipulations for completing certain levels are really creative and add that much more fun to the game.
I gave Damacy to my sister and brother-in-law. Now they're hooked.
