I used to play it about a year ago, but the constant downloading of updates got to me and I stopped bothering after the version changed AGAIN during a period when I wasn't playing it too much.

In all life, thou livest, the true life of all.

I have it, played it a bit. But with the rediculous amount of abuse I got for being a new player I said 'to hell with that' and went back to my usual games.

I played when it first game out. I had a few problems with the game, like bad targetting and stuff, it took me a while to figure out where the gun was saying i was aiming as oposed to wear i was aiming. If they where trying to add in wind and such, they should have had some sort of way of letting you know there was wind..... but anyway, after first thing i did officially was getting a perfect mark on marksmanship, then all that training. But when it got to multiplayer only stuff, i could never find anybody to play, maby i was just on at a bad time or on a bad network thing. but I lost interest a while ago.

When i read the title of this thread I thought hey i might start up again. That is until i read about the hazeing. Such things just go to add to reasons that gamers are childish nerds. Anybody who acts like that on a game not only dosn't deserve a computer for one, but seriously needs a life.

well the guns are super accurate now and we get mad at the newbies cuz they usually ethier 1: kill there own teamates cuz they think every one is the bad guy 2: wander around till they die and hold up the game 3: just camp till they die and hold up the game 4: the enemey is getting the obj right in front of them and they dont do anything 5: they start dissing a person thats ten times better than them cuz that person killed them. just dont talk trash when your a newbie and nobody will bother you

That may be, but if its anything like the real army, shouldn't the older players be teaching the newer ones?

well a lot of people including me tend to help the newbies but others perfer to let them gain "experience" whic means we kill them if they do something stupid so they dont do it again. BTW people perfered to use method 2 on me when i was a newbie :)

dosn't sound like fun at all. good thing its a free game, cause if i paid for abuse from people with too much time onthere hands, i would be very angry.

America's Army is an army simulator put out by the US Army as part of their recruitment program. Someone else will have to fill in gameplay details, but I know it's a FPS and it's supposed to give you a feel of what it's like to be "in the field" with the military.

You can download the program for free (I think you can get it right from the us army site), or you can purchace a book with the game on CD included (I think EB Games used to carry it and I think it's still in Best Buy, check around).

I've been off-line for the most part before this past year and I'm dialup now so I don't generally do online gaming.
