New Star Trek MMO game on the way

Postby SolidÃ…rmor » Wed Dec 12, 2007 9:11 pm

In the Jan. issue of GI, the article on a new Star Trek MMO Pc game dropped my jaw. The concept art work on the Borg worlds and new planets are stunning, and the futuristic look to the Federation ships totally awesome....I'm not a Trekkie but this game really caught my interest.

I'm a limited trekkie, and this game does have potential. Altho my faith in the game dropped after Perpetual (the studio making the game) was bought by a No name something, no one is sure if it was a company or a person. But when the studio was bought, alot of the designers left because of the changes the new owner wanted to make to the game. The rumors say that the game is going to be very Korean style MMO, which would be terrible for Star Trek.

Tho I'm still excited because you can have your own ship up to a medium size ship like an Akira class.

Hope there's no expendable red-shirted crewman class...

I'm kind of excited about the game. When I was a kid I had so many fantasies of captaining my own starfleet wessell.

After looking at the second pic, i haveing a feeling, being in space is going to be very much like EVE. I hope not everyone can have a galaxy or Sovereign class like starships, that would end up being imba

Totally wicked!! The set up is almost like that of Hallgate London, were you can set your special attacks and such on the bottom of the screen according to numbered buttons.
